This place is amazing.

Posted Jan 5, 2015
Pros: The decoration is awesome. Really awesome.
Cons: The rooms are standard Holiday Inn rooms, but nice.
Renewed 1 year ago it is extremely well decorated and set up. The hall is top of the notch. The indoor swimming pool is awesome: a huge swimming pool maybe 4 feet deep, a 9" swimming pool for kids that is around 5 feet x 10 feet and a Jacuzzi. Towels available, tables, nice. I had the free breakfast option and it was good. Normally free breakfast are just "continental breakfast" but this is nice and good for every palate.

Finally

Pros: Excellent stay, very clean, excellent lobby and pool. All staff were pleasant and the breakfast was great. Fair epet fees.
Location: Close to the university, downtown and other shopping areas
Finally a hotel in Charleston that allows pets and doesn't resemble a kennel.

VERY nice hotel. Friendly staff. No issues at all. Bought our puppy along as well. Breakfast was pretty limited though.. Not much of a variety.

Dear Shaun J, We love puppies and as a dog owner myself I know how convenient it is to be able to travel with her. Our pet friendly hotel welcomes your pet member of the family. Our complimentary full hot and cold breakfast buffet usually exceeds all our guests needs but we also offer a full ala carte menu for more personalized choices. We thank you for the nice comments. So So

Very noisy. Must be near a train track as I heard trains all night. Breakfast is not included but not unreasonably priced. Dated room although relatively clean. Lobby and pool area looked nice although we didn't have time to enjoy it. Staff seemed friendly.

Dear Traveler, I'm sorry about the trains, but there are some things we can't control. I am glad you found the pool and lobby area nice and appreciate the compliments to the staff.

Wonderful weekend!

Breakfast was outstanding! We had one if your brickhouse pizza's but it tasted like frozen also the choc cake was a chic cupcake with whip cream. On the other hand we needed some extra chairs for some visiters and they were brought right up. Over all a wonderful visit!

Dear Rex & Rebecca, Thanks for the review! I hope you will give us the opportunity to show you that our restaurant can be a better experience than you had this time. I am sorry for the experience you had with it, and want you to know that we will work harder to improve the quality. I'm glad the rest of the hotel met with your expectations!

A bit overpriced.

Posted Oct 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
The HI was all that I expected, however I felt that it was overpriced; should get a suite for what a single room was. Plus there was not much in the way of restaurants nearby; however I would recommend it when you are in Charleston.

Dear Gary, Thank you for the comments, I am glad can recommend us, even though you felt we were overpriced. We are competitive to our area. I am very sorry that you were not informed of all the nice local restaurants we have in the vicinity, many within walking distance. We will try to be more informative in the future.

Retirement Trip

If you don't mind trains passing on a regular basis throughout the night, this place is for you. Just don't eat there. My chicken ea extremely overdone. The carrots were cooked so long an infant without teeth could eat them. Completely tasteless! Breakfast was more of the same.

Dear DeDe, Yes we do have train tracks near the hotel and usually not many during the evening since they are used for industrial use versus commercial use. So sorry to hear of the restaurant experience. Chicken is our top seller and I hope you spoke with the server to get this rectified and find you something to your liking. We appreciate the comments so that we can make any necessary improvements. S Arnold, GM
