Perfect locationPosted Mar 27, 2014
Pros: It's right across the street from the market and close to just about everything I wanted to do.
Cons: It seems like maybe they could use more help during the spring season. I tried to call the front desk many times when no one answered.
Location: Right across from market and Charleston Place. Not far to wonderful restaurants, shopping, and even the homes. So much history in that city.
I think it's a little expensive for what you get, but it's undoubtedly a very nice play to stay. The room wasn't what I would call luxurious. Staff was accommodating but they were very busy and seemed a little overwhelmed at times (I might go at a different time than spring next time I go.) Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I was sorry to have to leave. Will stay longer next time if I can afford it!

Town house small select hotelPosted Mar 27, 2014
Pros: The fact that the hotel was in the Old Historic part of town, very convenient and for 15$ a day, they will park the car.
Location: Masses to see, museums, old historic houses, super shops, trips around the harbour and to the Fort by sea (well worth doing).
We stayed two nights in this small but very nice hotel in Charleston, USA. The hotel staff were very pleasant. We were in their newish extension which had been most tastefully built around a court yard where, if the weather had been warmer, one could sit. Our room was in the old style with a good sized bathroom. The restaurant is very good, but expensive and one should book. They also own an excellent fish restaurant around the corner which is cheaper and less formal. Charleston is a beautiful, old town with lots to see and visit, and I would recommend a carriage ride as it covers a large part of the town. We would have liked to have stayed longer.

Finest hotel in Charleston SCPosted Mar 18, 2014
We stayed in fireplace lit room with an open terrace overlooking the market. The room was beyond luxury with beautiful linens, refined bathroom fixtures, and fine porcelain decorative accents. The staff was super accommodating. Our late arrival did not deter the staff from bringing us food and drinks. The stay was a pure delight.

Planters InnPosted Mar 15, 2014
Wife and I stayed 5 nights in room 305. The room was very spacious, nicely furnished, king bed was comfortable and large bathroom with closet. The room overlooks the market. Street noise was not an issue during our stay. Great location! Major sites, restaurants, and shopping all within walking distance Never took a taxi the entire time Can't say enough about the staff - very helpful and professional We will be certainly be back to Planters Inn on our next visit to Charleston

Beautiful Inn with southern hospitality!Posted Mar 9, 2014
Cons: Had trouble getting into tall four poster bed. A small stool would have helped.
All the staff were wonderful-very helpful and kind. We were in the middle of the historic district. Everything within walking distance. Great location-great hotel. Would stay again

Centrally located...excellent accommodations.Posted Feb 13, 2014
Pros: THe room was small but very well appointed. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped.
Location: The location was perfect.
My husband and I found that Planter's Inn met our expectations for a Relais et Chateaux. We had planned this visit for more than two years and are happy to report that we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Every person who greeted or assisted us was polite and very helpful. The person who loaded our car as we were leaving brought us two water bottles for the next leg of our trip. That was going above and beyond and much appreciated!

Planters InnPosted Feb 10, 2014
Pros: It was quiet.
Cons: Breakfast menu
My husband and I spent one night in the Planters Inn for a quick getaway. It was very quiet and pleasant. The staff was very professional, friendly, and welcoming. I would ask that the breakfast menu to change to include other more healthier meat products besides pork such as poultry.
