You get what you pay for, not a place I would normally stay. Should of paid the extra money for somewhere more decent, will not recommend this place to anyone. Very outdated, had to purchase cleaning products to mop, clean and sanitize before using anything.

Rooms smells bad. Towels not clean. I wont ever stay there again. Get your facility together too many contract. its not a oh my this place is amazing check this out it was a bed tv the only thing bad was the shower/bath room after a shower the whole bathroom was covered in water the shower needs a drain about 6ft long along the shower and this would stop the water from going to the rest of the bath room

Sadly, this is a very low end motel. Prices were particularly high during my stay due to an event in the area causing prices of nearby hotels to be over $300/night. We decided to stay at the lowest price we could find which was the Red Roof at $216/night. The popcorn ceiling was pealing and the hotel definitely in need of a make over.

Don’t let the Plus or the online photos fool you! Let me tell you about my stay on 3/3/2024 in room #239. The toilet seat was stained, there was dirt and scratches on the walls, the TV sound was terrible, the weekend front desk person was not friendly or welcoming, the back of the property backs up to a Doggie Day Care where the outside yard barking starts at 6am, the chair at the desk was filthy, we found a dirty sweatshirt in the corner, the curtains were OLD and TORN, the bathroom door did not close properly and the lobby coffee cups were tiny....4oz? The Monday morning staff was friendly.

The staff at this hotel are excellent, please remember that! This review is mostly for the facilities. When I first checked in, the room that I was put in smelled horribly of vomit and there was residue on the carpet and bed. I told the front desk staff and they did move me to a deluxe room, so I am very thankful for that! But generally, the location is extremely loud with the barking of dogs all the time and it’s not a very clean or well kept property. I definitely would recommend that you stay somewhere else unless you are incredibly desperate for a cheaper stay.

The rooms had a smell to it , like mildew. Plus me and my fiancee got locked out of our room at 10pm and had to wait until 11pm to get inside because noone had a master key. And then the area around was very noisy and very hood. Even Heard dogs barking all night. Felt like i was back in the hood to be honest. I believe even the police was called for domestic violence smh. Never again. North charleston was better in which is crazy to say out loud.

Everything was excellent from time of my arrival until my early checkout time like clerk told me open curtains &leave keys on bed because of my 5am leaving

I enjoyed my stay here. However, the laundry facilities weren't working and the lady at check in was abrupt. This aside, the rooms were comfortable and tge bed was great.

Great Stay.
Great stay. This was my first time in Charleston and traveling with my dog. This is a dog friendly location approx 12 min drive from downtown Charleston. There's a supermarket, Wendy's, and plenty of restaurants near by. Safe location. Exceeded my expectation.

Staff was very rude. Checkin process wasn’t good at all. Stayed for two nights, keycards only worked for one day, had to go back to front desk to reswipe, no apologies or so ever, looked at me like I made a mistake?? Excuse me?! Gave keycards back to me without saying a word, I had to ask am I all good now? She nodded her head reluctantly with that look…And the room is having the most disgusting odor, like poop and puke. On top of that, the fire alarm has been making noise every hour. No fridge either. Would not stay here again! Definitely not recommend to anyone else.

For the price, unbeatable. I’m not trying to oversell this, but red roof is stepping up their game to stay relevant and it shows. Not my usual goto, but they welcomed our pet and we tried it. I even screwed up my nonrefundable stay and between orbits and red roof they were gracious enough to fix and we stayed the first night. Awed by the customer service and compared to the competition we stayed an additional night. This chain will stay on our list going forward.

Our hotel room had not been cleaned, there were dirty socks on the floor. We were afraid to even take a shower. There were roaches all around the outside of the hotel. Will never stay here again.
