“Renaissance Charleston Hotel Review”

It was a very nice downtown hotel, in walking distance of many nice restaurants on Meeting St. and King St. It's also a nice but do-able walk to the aquarium. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only real issue is parking, which is always at a premium in Charleston. It's in the city garage across the street. The hotel charges a daily fee for guests. The logistics can make loading and unloading something of a chore. Otherwise, I enjoyed it.

“Very Nice stay”

This hotel was luxurious. At the entrance, the bellman were very curious, and so was the front desk. Our room was designed nicely, the bathroom was nice, bed was very comfortable. Maid service superb. No problems whatsoever. Lemonade every day in the lobby, Don't miss the buffet breakfast, or the late nite dessert. My girlfriend and I could not have been happier

“Will go back soon.”

This is a very good hotel in an exceptional location: in the middle of everything. Just a great location with the parking across the street.

“Better and Cheaper”

I have always stayed at Charleston Place but could not get a room there during the Southeastern Wildlife expo. I found the Renaissance just as nice and a whole lot quieter since the lobby at Charleston Place is always filled with window shoppers. Did not eat at the restaurant but the morning coffee was excellent and the service staff very attentive. I will always stay here from now on

“Charleston Delight”

From the moment you enter the hotel, you feel the history of the city and the southern hospitality. It starts at the entrance with the 1800's carriage and welcome attendants, continues through the lobby with paintings of historic Charleston and ends with a well appointed room. With the centrally located hotel, you are never more than a few minutes away from shopping (King Street shopping district) and five blocks from E Bay and restaurant row. Plan on leaving your car parked at the hotel. The best way to explore and enjoy the city if by foot.

“Excellent experience!”

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. Also, the bartender, makes an excellent mojito (surprisingly the best I've ever had). I can't wait to pick up and travel to Charleston again where I'll definitely be staying at the Renaissance Charleston Hotel again!!

“Amazing Experience!!!”

My fiance and I stayed at the Renaissance Hotel for Labor Day weekend. I love love love this hotel. Let me begin by saying that it is the best smelling hotel I've ever stayed at!!!! Not kidding... usually hotels (even the nicest ones) have a smell coming from the carpet, but the Renaissance keeps up with making it a pleasant olfactory experience. The room was extremely clean and cozy. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel's location is convenient to all the major shopping areas and you have a great selection of restaurants.

“Great location - near everything we wanted to do!”

Location was fantastic; walking distance to everything you might want to do in Charleston. The rooms were very nice, and staff was always courteous and helpful. Not much of a pool, so if you're looking for a nice pool to sit by, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

“Great Location”

The hotel is located perfectly between the shopping on King Street and the restaurants on Meeting Street. It is an easy walk to the Ft. Sumpter Ferry and the aquarium. The hotel staff members were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant staff, not quite so much. The restaurant service was slow and they did not adequately staff the coffee bar. The rooftop pool was very pleasant in the late afternoons after hoofing it around town all day. Overall, this is a great place to stay when visiting Charleston.
