Accommodations include fully equipped kitchens with full-sized refrigerators/freezers, stovetops, ovens (two-bedroom suites only), microwaves, dishwashers and cookware/dishes/utensils. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations, complimentary toiletries, and hair dryers. The Residnece Inn by Marriott provides complimentary wired and wireless high-speed Internet access. Business-friendly amenities include ergonomic chairs and desks, as well as multi-line phones with voice mail. Separate sitting areas, sofa beds, and coffee/tea makers are also included. Hypo-allergenic bedding and wake-up calls can be requested. Housekeeping is provided daily.

Guests are offered a complimentary hot breakfast buffet daily including a Belgium waffle station, hot items (such as eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, bacon, hash and oatmeal), pastries, yogurts, cereal and fruit. A complimentary evening social is offered to guests Monday-Thursday from 6:00pm-7:30pm. This includes a light dinner, snacks, beer, wine, sodas, etc.

“Will always come back to this place”
This hotel was home away from home. The front desk staff were very friendly, and house keeping alway spoke and greeted you. People were just really friendlly. The rooms were like home away from home, they were spacious and very clean. I found this hotel to be very comfortable. The beds were great. We never had to spend a dime for breakfast because they fed us every morning. Great place to stay if you are looking for a bargain with class. The outside of the hotel is beautiful.
“Great Stay!”
Convenient location close to downtown. I would recommend taking the shuttle there. Staff was really nice and helpful. They recommended a lot places and tours to take.
“excellent hotel”
This hotel is one of the best I've stayed in as far as breakfast, attitude by the staff, pool and jacuzzi area were well-kept, security, etc. My wife, my four-year old daighter, and I thoroughly enjopyed our three-day stay here. Will definitely go back.
“Great Charleston Hotel”
Great hotel. Great room... included kitchen (stove, dishwasher, full size fridge). Staff were very nice and extremely helpful. I assumed that we'd be able to see the river from our room since the hotel is named "riverview" but we couldn't. But it was still nice. 3-4 mins from downtown... 3-4 from nearest Harris Teeter.
“Great Hotel for the Price”
Most hotels in Charleston are over priced for what you get. This hotel, however, proved to be a great value. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
“VERY IMPRESSED!”
Outstanding hotel! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They even helped me search for a dinner cruise option when the cruise we had wanted to do was cancelled. The room was quiet and we slept very well. What a great place to stay. I will use this hotel the next time I go to Charleston if it is available.
“Nice for family suits”
It was so comfortable, clean and cozy. It was just going ahead Florida with family, so if possble next, I'll stay more in this hotel.
“Location to Downtown”
Since we had never been to Charleston and looking for a hotel I picked this hotel not realizing a lot of hotels have "Downtown" in their name. I guess I wanted it all with "downtown / riverview" and a suite. My husband was unable to walk distance due to upcoming knee replacement. We did not rent a car; therfore, this location was not a good choice for us. As we planned to be in Charleston for the week, we moved to an actual downtown location. The hotel was very understanding and accommodating with our request to move. The hotel was very clean, we had a extremely nice suite with full kitchen. We wish we could have taken the suite with us in our move. I did learn a valuable lession; to ensure the actual location is a top priority. This is a beautiful hotel; however, is not really close to anything.
