Don't expect much from this hotel

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Within walking distance to good food and great beach.
Cons: The cleanliness and free wifi!
Location: Acme LowCountry Kitchen is wonderful!
Do not expect anything from this hotel other than the fact it's close to the beach and the staff is ok. They lost our reservations and there were a lot of people in the lobby after 4pm who still did not have a ready room. There was a used bar of soap as well as a clump of hair in the shower. The tile grout in shower is moldy, the shower did not drain properly and the shower curtain was to short so every time you took a shower there was water all over the bathroom floor. We had a coffee basket in our room but no coffee maker. The nice girl at the front said they started outsourcing their housekeeping, which is obviously a big mistake. For around $150 a night, I expected better.

Under Remodel

Posted Jun 17, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Let people know about the construction
Hotel was being remodeled so the beach access and pool were closed. We only stayed one night and moved to a different hotel. No one told us about the construction even though I spoke to them by phone!

Pros: The location was nice.
Cons: The room was pretty barren- the only place to sit was either the bed or a single bar stool. There wasn't an ice bucket. The entry door was warped.
The site indicated that this hotel had renovations that would be complete in early spring, 2014. We were there in early June and they are far from complete. Construction activity adjacent to our room began at 7:30 am each morning. The literature indicated that they had a swimming pool, which was not true.

A sucky 3 days

Posted May 21, 2014
Pros: The room was very nice, room only.
Cons: Where to start? Too many to explain and my statement above should tell all.
Location: Location is good but most eating places are too high and greasy food. For being at the beach the seafood was terrible.
Disappointed with Expedia and motel. Nothing on either sight telling us motel was under construction. Pool was closed, no place to sit. Our beautiful ocean view was of construction scaffolding off our balcony and out our window. Could not go somewhere else as Expedia had already charged my credit card, even before we arrived. Gave the motel my card to hold for parking and charged me for 2 nights stay even with the Expedia charges. Tried to talk to a manager and for some reason they were never on property. Tried calling and now has been a week with no call back. We had just moved to SC from TN. This trip was supposed to be a relaxing 3 days after a long trip and move. The only time we relaxed was on our way home, stopping in Charleston for some excellent seafood. Will not go back and have already recommended to another family to go elsewhere.

close to beach but horrible conditions

Posted May 17, 2014
Pros: LOCATION
Cons: EVERY SINGLE ASPECT OF THE PROPERTY
Location: VERY BASIC
complete rennovation on going but very noisy--disorganized--loud--junk all over entire hotel. was un believably horrible--- instead of taking one area and completing it progressively it was chaos all over. OUR ROOM WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DONE BUT WAS PAINT AND MUD ALL OVER--ALL OVER! THE STOOL REFILLER JUST SCREAAMED A LOUD NOISE AS IT REFILLED. JUST NOT ENOUGH TIME TO PUT IT ALL DOWN. WE MOVED OUT IMMEDIATELY! WE DESERVE AND EXPECT A COMPLETE 100% REFUND IMMEDIATELY. WE DESERVE AND EXPECT A COMPLETE 100% REFUND IMMEDIATELY. WE MOVED ONE BLOCK UP THE STREET AND EVERY THING WAS AS DESCRIBED INCLUDING AN UP GRADE ON THE ROOM. WHEN CAN WE EXPECT TO HEAR FROM YOU ABOUT OUR REFUND??????? YOU SHOULD NEVER HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS HOTEL.

Seaside Inn Charleston/Isle of Palms

Posted Nov 10, 2013
Pros: Location, staff, room, price, breakfast.
Cons: Mattress
Overall we had a very good stay. The room was very neat & clean and for the price, a lot better than I expected. The best part was the staff. Everyone was all smiles & super nice. Plus you can not beat the location, perfect.

Clean Room-Lacks some functionality.

Posted Nov 6, 2013
Pros: Good location, cleanliness
Cons: Closet, and drawer issue described above, better TV.
Location: Seabiscuit Restaurant for breakfast was great.
The good-Clean room, good bed, good climate control, refridgerator and microwave, good price, good continental breakfast. The Bad-No shelf for soap in shower, small tube type TV. The weird-Armoirre offset in corner beside TV inadeqaute access to drawers, lack of closet for hanging up clothes.

Not exactly as the website pictures portray

Posted Nov 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was close to the tennis court locations where my husband was participating. But, if you are expecting your room to look like the pictures on the website, they do not. The room was very small. The room TV, even smaller.
