Excellent place to stayPosted May 15, 2014
Pros: Spacious, wonderful staff, quiet
Cons: We preferred the breakfast basket to be left at the front door during the requested time instead of early phone call to announce it coming. Annoying.
Location: Prime location. Everything is in walking distance.
My husband and I were not sure if the room would be too much for two people. However, it was absolutely perfect. We loved our stay and returning to the rooms after a full day was like returning home. We loved receiving a basket every morning with our breakfast selections. We had no desire to go to a restaurant for breakfast because the basket was fulfilling. We used the balcony often to relax at the end of a day and watch the sunset. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect - best ever hotel. Was really a huge apartment rather than a room.

convenient locationPosted Apr 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel provides a great location, spacious rooms with full kitchens and is a reasonably good value considering all it offers. The only major drawback is a total lack of noise insulation between walls and ceilings. If you've got children next door, or above, it can be a very unpleasant experience.

Love Charleston and ROK!Posted Mar 19, 2014
Pros: The bed was extremely comfortable. The downtown location is close to everything. It was nice having a full kitchen for enjoying doggybags the next day
Cons: That I would never have to leave.
Location: Great restuarants, the historic churches, homes, and sites of Charleston, especially Fort Sumpter. Great shopping right outside our door!
The staff at The Restoration on King (ROK) are the best! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. They did everything we asked and more. The rooms are large and oh so comfortable! It's like staying at an apartment, but yet the service of a hotel. The breakfast baskets are a lovely treat. I could sleep in and enjoy breakfast in my robe, before setting out on the activities of the day.

Almost perfectPosted Mar 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
Wonderful restoration of an old building. Great location. Speedy car valet and check in. Comfy bed with good linens. Only problem was lack of cleanliness. Quite a bit of someone else's hair was on the bathroom floor both days making an otherwise great place a bit downgraded.

Top notch location and the rooms are amazing as there were designed as condos so they make above average hotel rooms.

Nice propertyPosted Mar 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
It was all good with the exception of the bathroom. There was some mildew areas in the shower. Other than that, I loved this hotel.

GREAT LOCATION - EXCELLENT ROOMPosted Mar 1, 2014
Went for a few days away from kids with wife and we had one of the best times ever. Room was spacious and very well done. We did not need our car the whole time we were there.
