Great hotel with charm and characterPosted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: There was interesting and fun art displayed everywhere. Bikes are available to take exploring.
Location: Walking distance to the water park, historical interests and great restaurants.
The Vendue is in a prime location. The service at the Vendue was tops, providing personalized assistance to make our stay perfect. Room was very clean and newly renovated. Bed and pillows extremely comfortable. Had a wonderful first trip to Charleston.

Great Hotel in the French QuarterPosted Mar 10, 2015
Pros: The ambiance and friendliness of the staff. Also, the rooms were beautifully appointed.
Cons: No in-room coffee service. You have to go down to a cafe attached to the hotel and wait in line with paying customers. No in room refrigerators.
Location: There is everything! The market, the city park, shopping on King's Street, great restaurants that cover a wide range of budgets. Best location!
We were ,made to feel most welcome from check-in to checkout! The hotel is beautiful and well appointed. The halls and galleries have art on display from both international and local artists. The hotel also has an excellent rooftop bar that has views of both the harbor and the city. You could not find a better location for walking. Also, the area is VERY SAFE and should have something to please the whole family. Prices were very good compared to the other landmark hotels in the area.

Great service. Old noisy building.Posted Feb 11, 2015
Pros: Staff and location
Cons: Better soundproofing? Not sure if that is possible
Location: Great location, minutes walk from King and Market Street. Plenty of great bars and restaurtants near the hotel. HUSK, SNOB, Gin Joint, Craftsman Bar.
This hotel has a great location and the staff is excellent. Also very nice little perks/services like Starbuck coffee in the a.m. and win/art reception in the afternoon, milk and cookies at night. Rooms are nice but the building is a bit noisy. You can hear all around your room, doors closing, people walking in the hallways, etc. It's no fault of the management but just be weary if you are sensitive to noises or don't want to hear that kind of stuff this might not be the hotel for you. It's just kind of an old building(s). Other than that, a great hotel. Staff was great, rooms were renovated, lobby was nice. Didn't eat or drink at the bar or restaurant because so close to other great places.

Staff is the highlightPosted Feb 10, 2015
Pros: Great location on the water. Friendly staff. Great rooftop bar.
Cons: Windows sealed shut resulted in rooms that were damp and verging on smelly.
Every staff member at the Vendue was incredibly nice and accommodating. Location is great! However, the actual rooms were very small, stuffy and damp.
