Lovely hotel in a prime locationPosted Sep 28, 2014
Pros: We loved everything except the noise during two nights of our four-night stay. We will return, but we will be more specific about our room choice.
Location: Right in the heart of the historic district, near Broad Street and close to many of the best restaurants, sites, and galleries.
Overall, very good experience. Lovely hotel in an excellent location. Only downside was the noise for two nights of our stay. One night we were kept awake for hours by obviously drunk guests yelling to each up and down the hallway outside our room. The next night, we were kept awake for nearly two hours by what sounded like someone walking in stilettos on the ceiling above us (apparently this noise came from the rooftop bar).

Great location, nice amenitiesPosted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Location, uniqueness.
Location: See above.
The Vendue is in walking distance to many sites (harbor, market, historic sites/churches, carriage rides, etc) and popular restaurants. Staff very helpful. Free wine & snacks each day at 4:00. Buildings are originally old warehouses converted to hotel. Many rooms have the original brick walls and other remnants of its warehouse days. Variety of rooms (most all different), and I think prices vary quite a bit. But still have all the amenities & convenience regardless of room chosen. Parking is somewhat expensive in area----$16/day in public garage. Hotel restaurants highly rated and rooftop bar is nice for relaxing drinks and view of bay and city.

Best location in downtown. 15 minutes from IOP. The bar/restaurant are just as good if not better as anything you'll find around that area. Try the breakfast menu! The staff was excellent. (Matt at the doorman was great!)

Great Staff and LocationPosted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Location was perfect. Many restaurants and shops in walking distance.
Cons: The carpet in the hallway leading to the rooms looked like it has never been cleaned
The service at The Vendue is the best I've ever experienced. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Okay location - not whats advertisedPosted Aug 4, 2014
We first had to wait around for 2 hours after check in to finally get into our room. Once we went up to the room it resembled a dungeon (no window). An hour later a maid bursts into the room without any warning. To make matters worse the walls were very thin and the room was not as described or promised. They did get us another room which was nicer. But there was hard water stains everywhere we looked and nails hanging off walls. The four poster bed had staples in it and the wood was chipped everywhere. The hotel literally gave us a new meaning of "historic". I'd recommend staying at another hotel closer to king street.
