Very nice hotel, close to all activities.

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: See above.
This is a very nice hotel that is close to all activities. Convenient to the historic district, the beaches, as well as other activities that Charleston affords. The staff were very accommodating as we had to shorten our stay due to a family emergency back home. We had gone thru Expedia and they explained what we needed to do to get our stay adjusted. It worked just like they said it would. The rooms were clean, bright, well appointed. There wasn't anything that we needed that was not available. We'll recommend this spot to others that travel to this quaint city.

New, great room, staff and amenities

This was the nicest "on the road" stay! New hotel, great beds and very clean. Fridge, microwave and keurig in room. Housekeeping and front desk were on top of things. Nice pool and a washer/dryer for do travel clothes on premise.

Comfortable Hotel

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: Let's say there was nothing that I didn't like.
Cons: Would love to have coffee available in lobby with cream or milk available. Yes there was coffee machine in room, but not convenient when you have to
Location: Need to take bus or drive to any attractions, but located in a convenient area.
Clean, updated and modern hotel. Staff was friendly, courteous and professional. Trotters Restaurant located in Hotel, delicious, affordable and not to be missed. Would definitely stay here again. Convenient bus to downtown area.

Good value

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: Everything was beautiful and comfortable.
Location: This hotel was outside of Charleston, but was convenient to everything we wanted to do.
The hotel was beautiful as were the rooms. We enjoyed the pool. If they had a free breakfast, it would have been perfect! We will stay here again.

Nice pool but poor service

Posted Jul 12, 2014
Pros: the pool
Cons: the service
Location: The 30 bus can get you into historic Charleston. The mall is nearby, a supermarket a 5 minute walk away and lots of restaurants.
The hotel was nice, although the room smelt old. The pool area was great - great in the heat. We asked about getting a taxi and instead of ringing up on our behalf like in any other place I've stayed across the world they handed us a post it note and told us to ring up. We then had to go back up to the desk and ask another women at the desk to ring it for us - since the room was being cleaned and we had international phones so we weren't going to make an expensive call they could easily have made. Although the taxi provided was great and the guy was lovely. However on the day of our departure we asked for the taxi to be there at 8:30 but he arrived at 8:00am and stayed for 20 minutes - however the front desk did not ring us to let us know this mix up had happened and proceeded to make it out that it was our fault. However the rooms were clean and had a proper fridge which was handy. I would say if you want to go into Charleston or anywhere else you'd need to hire a car - however there is a bus you can get which is $1.75 for a journey which is really good. However the hotel staff were completely unaware of the bus facilities even though the stop is just outside the hotel. Was told that we'd need to get the car from the front desk to our room - now it took 2 minutes to walk to our room so I don't understand what they were talking about. A car journey to take us the shortest distance ever that is the height of laziness
