“Pay a little more, but save money overall!”

This was quite possibly the best hotel experience I have ever had!!! Despite my short stay, the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The complimentary, hot, made-to-order breakfast was way above par (I had the veggie goat cheese omelet with bacon and awesome breakfast potatoes). For goodness' sake, even the coffee they brewed was outstanding! That's not all: complimentary wine & orduves at 4 pm then fresh cookies at night in the lobby. Being a foodie, I was clearly overwhelmed with excitement. And to top it all off, set in a prime historic location (close to outstanding food, bars, art, sights, & shopping), the hotel has bicycles you can check out to tour the picturesque city... definitely the best way to experience all that Charleston has to offer. By paying a bit more for a night at Vendue, I saved money on wine, breakfast, dessert, and parking expenses. My trip overall ended up being cheaper than it would have been if I had stayed at a less expensive hotel without all these complimentary amenities... And they treat you like royalty. Why would you not stay here?!

Spent the week there with my sister, no children. We enjoyed our stay, the meals and especially the bike rides through Charleston.

WHAT MAKES THIS PLACE SO GREAT IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE. vERY PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL. IF NOT FOR THAT IT WOULD BE JUST ANOTHER COOL OLD HOTEL- KINDA FUNKY. ALL THE STAFF THAT WE RAN ACROSS WERE EXTRA POLITE (IN A SINCERE WAY). I LOVED USING THE BIKES TO GET AROUND THE CITY.

“Venture to the Vendue for a Trip to Remember”

The Vendue was charming and vastly exceeded our expectations! The staff offered superb service, were friendly and welcoming and appeared to be empowered by management to add the most personal and customized touches for each guest's enjoyment. Our dining experiences in the Library were amazing -- from the the ambiance to the level of service and food that was even more delicious by its presentation. We were so enchanted by our waitress, we requested her over and over. Serving an early breakfast with a smile and attention to detail was greatly appreciated. And then there's "location, location, location." The Vendue is centrally located downtown within walking distance to numerous restaurants, entertainment and other activities. We parked out car and didn't need it for the entire stay. The Vendue is a perfect example of a well run establishment that is not owned by a large, impersonal corporate entity and that has the flexibility of incorporating creative ideas and an experience not only to remember but to repeat.

Very nice boutique hotel with excellent service, best for couples. Walking distance to everything, excellent location.
