It was everything my family was looking for. Beautiful location, beautiful complex, beautiful beach. It is not cheap, but it is worth it.

I had a very enjoyable stay and my room was overlooking the pool with a small view of the ocean from a large balcony. Very nice accommodations.

I stayed in the Boardwalk Inn. It is a smaller hotel next to the Sweetgrass Inn. The Boardwalk is nice and quiet and everything was clean and well kept. The staff was very nice and accomodating. It is limited on the selection of restaurants/ bars/ amenities that the Sweetgrass Inn has nextdoor. I missed the amount of things offered and even though you can walk next door, I did miss it not being right in my hotel. If you are looking to be away from all of that, the Boardwalk is the place to stay. Both places are very nice!

My husband and I booked a room at the Sweetgrass Inn for a weekend getaway, and the resort was perfect! The pools are heated, the beach access is quick and beautiful, not to mention the room and balcony were updated and relaxing! We already can’t wait to come back!!!

Our stay was great. Property, staff and proximity to beach were fantastic. We were disappointed by the lack of food selection (menu items) and amount of food provided given the high price. If we didn’t go back it would be because of the food not the facilities.

Really enjoyed the deck overlooking the ocean. Very relaxing. Breakfast was excellent and staff very attentive. Mostly positive about the room but construction noise across the street was very loud and annoying. Food and drinks very expensive. Otherwise, we were very pleased.

This was a nice hotel, but the parking was a nightmare. The elevator stopped working the morning after we arrived, and the other one was really busy. It was a really long walk to the lot and it was so hot. The woman at the check-in desk must have had a really hard day because she was impatient and quite rude. Loved the beach! Not enough beach chairs for the amount of people at the pools.

This is a great property and feels like vacation through and through! The staff is very friendly, especially their hotel reception (Virginia and Robert - amazing!) I highly recommend this resort.

Price and service quality are not equal.
In essence for the price we paid, the service was lacking significantly. Positives: Clean room and very nice decor. Spa was good (we asked for female staff and got males for both) and prices matched service quality. Cons: With the exception of the Oyster Catcher staff, the rest of the staff appeared to be poorly trained on every thing. The Valet service was unorganized and severely short staffed. I don't blame the workers at all, this was poor management. As a manager myself of a staff of 12 I can tell when it is an employee moral problem or poor training. This was poor training of staff by management. When we asked questions we received erroneous information or a flat out; I DON'T KNOW with a very big smile. We asked if there was a ride service or shuttle to the other hotel because there was a monsoon and I am almost 9 months pregnant and we had dinner reservations. We were told NO. We asked for an umbrella because we saw other guests with them and were told they were out. Then someone came up and said there is a shuttle service but you need to ask VALET. We went to VALET and they said they didn't coordinate that, the front desk did. Which is who told us to go to VALET in the first place. The point is this type thing happened multiple times. Wild Dunes needs to either UP their service and hospitality game or Lower their prices so guests aren't disappointed. For $1,000 bill we had for a 1 nights stays i would say I was more the unsatisfied with our stay at Wild Dunes.
