This hotel was horrible.Posted Sep 12, 2013
Cons: everything and then some.
The hotel was under major construction and it was not listed when i made the booking. in addtiion, the fire alarms went off @ 6:15 am in the morning. There was no apology or concern demonstrated by the staff. There was dust all over the hotel withe the continental breakfast set up in what was reminicent of a war zone. BAD

HOTEL UNDER RENOVATIONSPosted Sep 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
I was very unhappy no one warned me the hotel was under major renovations. The furniture was old and scratched up. It was noisy in the daytime. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. It was hard to find as the sign was hard to read and was off the street.

First impressions are lasting.Posted Jul 30, 2013
Pros: The front desk clerk was nice.
Cons: They are renovating I was told so hopefully they are working on the appearance but there is a lot of work to be done.
Location: I picked this hotel because it was 3 miles from the Verizon Amphitheater. There were other places nearby such as the Ikea store and UNC Charlotte.
I should have tried to find another hotel but I was exhausted and didn't have time to go look elsewhere since I had somewhere to be in a certain time. The sign by the road was barely visible and needed repair. There were pallets of building materials at the side and front of the building near the entrance into the hotel which was unsightly. As soon as I walked through the doors, there was a huge stain on the rug into the entrance of the lobby. Nasty!!! The only pleasant thing about the hotel was the front desk clerk. The room was stuffy and the a/c was off when we got into the room. The rug was stained and dirty looking so we never took off our shoes while walking around in the room. I did check the bedding and it appeared clean. The bathroom was clean. The TV was an old box style TV. I asked about any rooms with a better TV and was told they were renovating and the newer rooms with flat screens were not open to be used yet. There is hope for future occupants but I won't be going back.

ConvenientPosted Jul 27, 2013
Pros: It was very comfortable and convenient.
Cons: The entrance and the appearance could certainly be improved..
Location: Verizon Wireless Ampitheater for concerts and UNC is very close.
My wife and I went to a concert at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater and the hotel was close to the concert. The entrance was very poorly marked if at all which made it easy to miss and there was construction going on in the hotel , the signage said, so it was in no way impressive but the staff they had was helpful. Breakfast was very good the next morning. So for what we needed, it was very accommodating

The Remodel will be nicePosted Jul 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
They are in the process of remodeling and I am sure it will be great when that's complete. We had to switch rooms after the smoke alarm in our room kept going off when the hair dryer was in use. Another couple we spoke to in the elevator mentioned their room didn't have a shower head. Nice people at the front desk and a great location to get to the amphitheater.
