“Mathews June 2011”

Very nice hotel, the room was larger than we expected. There was a couch, cocktail table, desk, and huge HD TV. Most important to me (I have lower back problems) the bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and knowledgeable (we needed some help). We didn't eat there, but plenty of people were there for breakfast. We will probably stay here the next time we come to the area.

This hotel is a great example of the Marriott Courtyard concept- to provide a hotel geared toward business travelers. Super-friendly staff, honor bar for happy hour, coffee available anytime in the lobby, business center, comfy rooms with free high-speed Internet access. A nice, easy stay at a great price for the area. Recommended!

“Good Check In”

Only stayed for one evening but check in was very quick and smooth, people at the front desk were cheerfull even at the late hour I showed up and had no problems with the room.

Our room was just beautiful, clean and attractive with highlights of a king size bed decorated so nice, couch and desk and just very very nice. Would stay there a million times over.

“Courtyard Matthews”

I work for a University and I travel all over the state of North Carolina to supervisor student teachers. I am on the road 5-6 days per month each month so I travel a lot for both business and pleasure and I love this hotel! The staff here at this Marriott are out of this world! They have always been kind, and helpful to me. The staff here everyone of them has always been very friendly and caring... This is my second stay in less than 30 days and now I am hooked. I will never stay in any other hotel when I visit Mathews every again. I have 2 more visit to make between now and December and you can bet I will be returning to my new home away from home. The rooms are nice and roomy. The rooms have a coffee maker, a refrigerator and a microwave. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The king suite has a king size bed and a sofa in the room with a nice size HDTV. They have an indoor pool, a hot tub and a gym. They also have a beautiful courtyard to relax any have a drink in during the cool Fall days. They have an office center with 2 computer and free internet in your room. A great breakfast buffet with real cooked food like eggs, bacon, hot or cold cereal, fresh fruit and more that is all you can eat at a great price.. There are lots of great places to eat in the area if you want to go out for a bite. They have everything form fast food to great food all within a few minutes drive.
