Nice clean hotel

Pros: Easy to find. Convenient to reasonably priced restaurants.
Cons: Just the fitted sheets. Complimentary breakfast
Location: Excellent location with a short drive to uptown Charlotte.
The only problem we had was that the fitted bottom sheets kept coming lose.

Pros: nice amenities, clean
Cons: Jacuzzi, snacks in the room when you have a later check-in
Location: plenty of restaurants nearby
After being at Carowinds all day, we decided to stay over from exhaustion. We had the breakfast buffet and enjoyed our stay until 12 noon. We had the King Suite and the King rooms.

Visiting friends in Matthews, NC

Pros: The dinning room staff at breakfast is very friendly and quick with service.
Location: The motel is near to the interstate exit.
I had previously stayed in this motel and therefore knew how to get to it. Nice motel. Due to my schedule, I have never gotten a chance to try out the swimming pool. The Charlotte/Matthews area is hot and humid. The motel is cool and comfortable.

Pros: All of the staff was super friendly. Rooms were clean and bed was super comfortable. Last but not least, the price was right!
Cons: Nothing
Location: It was about 30 minutes from the airport. The best part was we were only 6 miles from our friends house that we came down to visit.
Four of us went down to surprise a friend who is not well. The hotel was six miles from her house which made it very convenient. The staff was so friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Double Charged

Pros: The hotel itself was lovely and very clean.
Cons: Better communication.
Location: A restaurant called Mootchies, off of Idlewild Road was AMAZING!!!!
The HUGE issue is that I paid through Expedia, I verified this at check in and two times after that. However, the hotel charged me the entire amount again on the credit card that I gave for incidentals - not once - but TWICE - the second time after I verified that they charged me incorrectly. 3 days later, it is still pulled from my available balance although they assured me it would be released. The hotel itself is lovely, the staff is very kind, but the person who charged me twice is less than to be desired.

2 Nights in Matthews

Pros: Location close to our needs, the staff was always helpful, room and facilities were clean, and the breakfast had a wide variety of choices.
Location: We have family in Matthews so the location was ideal. Within a few minutes drive, you have access to a wide variety of local and chain restaurants.
My wife & I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and except for one issue it was very pleasurable. The first night the wall-unit AC kept waking me up when the compressor came on. After raising the issue to the front desk, they dispatched a repair man on Saturday and did an excellent job of quieting the unit. Saturday night's sleep was much better. Other than that issue, we could not have been more pleased with our stay.

Pros: Clean and comfortable.
Location: Plenty of restaurants close.
The facility is in nice shape, well kept, and very clean. Staff was friendly, made us feel welcome. Price about right for what we got.

Near Carolina Courts

I reserved a em with 2 dbl beds hut was switched to a King bed rm. There was trash in a cabinet with an odor. I was charged unknowingly $25 for misc charges that I didn't use and when I called back today to ask why my credit card was charged a different amount than my bill and she said I should be reimbursed hut she couldn't tell be when. This is so wrong and I should have been told this charge was being added or better yet, it should of never been charged. I am a very unhappy customer and will not choose Courtyard any time soon.

Our front desk staff are not able to switch room types with Expedia reservations, so I am not sure where the error occurred. Also, we always get a credit card for incidentals. A sign is posted at the front desk stating there is a small hold and that it is released within 3-5 business days. Incidentals cover any phone calls, market purchases, or breakfast fees that may incur. I will make sure to talk with the front desk team to ensure that we are explaining the hold correctly with our guests. Not good

Pros: Staff
Rooms were not ready, bed was slopped to one side and need to be flipped or replaced. Not typical of a Marriott.
