Not Good

Posted May 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
Front lobby was locked up at 9:30 pm. Employee was not friendly at all. There is nothing around with in walking distance. Rooms were neat but the full size fridge was noisey and woke you up every hour. Just not a pleasant surrounding. Had it not been for memorial day weekend and NASCAR I would have moved to another place.

Needs updating and cleaned

Posted May 12, 2014
Pros: Very close to Ovens Auditorium.
Cons: Decor and just about everything else.
Location: Ovens Auditorium, restaurants are scattered about but nothing easy to get to.
Other than a place to stay for the night, not much to write about. In desperate need of updating, air conditioner stunk, shower curtain moldy, very old beds and 80's style decor.

Not kept up at all

Posted May 12, 2014
Pros: nothing
Cons: Everything
It appears that the only thing the cleaning crew does is make the beds. There was MOLD in the shower and on the ceiling. The bed shams were FILTHY, and I couldn't even bring myself to touch the AC unit.

Great for the Rate

It was great for the money I spent. It's one of those hotels where the doors to the rooms are located on the outside, so you hear some traffic in the parking lot, but I was able to fall asleep just fine. I would recommend it to travelers on a budget. :)

Quick book

I was not aware of the Kat Williams comedy show located next to the hotel. But security was great. The breakfast could better with more of a selection.

Ghetto hotel

Posted Mar 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
This Econo-Lodge was filthy on the outside and the outside control of the indegineus population was only barely kept in check by the location of a local police officer parked in the upper parking lot. There is trash, cigarette butts, rotting household garbage in abundance on the outside grounds. My room had torn carpet, peeling wallpaper, barely warm water for the shower, a coffee maker that didn't work, worn out beds, and very thin blankets. The only thing that did seem to work was the TV and it was held down with a cable to keep it from being stolen. Lets talk about the barely edible breakfast…. I believe that the butter spread and the waffle mix had aged and was spoiled. The only good thing about this hotel is that it is close to downtown Charlotte.
