I had a great experience at Fairfield Inn and Suites Charlotte Uptown. The staff was very friendly and they even had a free shuttle service to get us around town, so we didn't have to pay for cab service. I was very surprised with the continental breakfast in that it was actually a hot breakfast with eggs, bacon, and sausage gravy. There was a wide selection of juices, muffins, bagels, and yogurt as well. The room was very clean and the decor was very pleasant. I was also impressed with the check-out time being noon, I have never had a check-out time this late and it was very nice not feeling rushed to get out of my room early. We did have to pay a $15 per night fee for parking, but it was in a nice garage that was gated, so I felt that my vehicle was very secure. I did have an issue with my booking through expedia, they were supposed to have booked me in a room with a balcony, however when I got to the hotel I was in a room without a balcony. The staff was very eager to help with this and quickly had me in a room with a balcony at no extra charge. Overall I had a great experience with my hotel stay.

Nice newly renovated hotel.

Location: 1.7 miles from Bank of America stadium
Niceroom, very clean, comfortable bed. Liked The Tavern, the lounge with craft beers and many tvs. Hotel in a nice contemporary style. Parking very convenient, 15 per night. Breakfast was very good with scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, a variety of breads, juices, fruit, cereal, etc. a fair amount of street noise but that's to be expected in the city. Easy check in and check out. Staff very nice.

Nice hotel!

Pros: Everything was brand new (or appeared to be so). It's really close to the Music Factory and we used the hotel shuttle to get a ride over.
Cons: Seems like maybe most of the hotel was renovated except for things like the bathtub and toilet which was a little weird.
Location: Really close to the Music Factory. We didn't look around much other than that.
We were in town for a show at The Fillmore and normally stay within walking distance to the NC Music Factory. However....or normal place was sold out. But it worked out well because this place was great. This hotel must have just been renovated. It was fabulous. The lobby was really nice and the bar was awesome. Our room was super clean and very up to date. We'll definitely stay there again.

I booked my room through Hotels.com and they got my room completely wrong. The staff wasnt even apologetic about it. They did what they could, but I just feel like they need to be a little more sincere.
