GMI visit

Posted Apr 28, 2015
rooms were noisy where I heard a lot of activity in the halls and too close to the ice machine. Everything was clean and in order as far as the room was concerned.

Great Girls Weekend

Posted Apr 27, 2015
First off I'd like to say that this hotel is located in the perfect area. It's close to the Epic Center and other down town attractions. Kudos to the valet team, reception area, dining crew and housekeeping! Definatly will be returning. The free hot breakfast won me over! Especially since they serve real food and not your typical "continental" breakfast! Thanks Hyatt House Management for a wonderful stay!!

Wow! Really Impressed.

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: The overnight parking was a bit expensive at $24 per night
Cons: All was great! This hotel seems to really succeed with service and comfort.
Really nice experience at this hotel! The check-in was smooth and friendly. The facility is very attractive and my room was clean and nicely appointed. The included breakfast was VERY outstanding, much better quality than most hotels. I really liked this hotel and look forward to coming back.

Disappointed

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: The room was updated
Cons: Roll the charges of the Valet in with the cost. Replace the beds
Location: The area was a little sketchy
I arrived Saturday afternoon at 5:30 pm and did not see how to park and check in. After speaking to the security guard for the Arena next door, he said to pull in where they do valet. This hotel is Valet parking only and is at a cost of $24 a day that was not disclosed at my booking through Expedia. After clearing out everything in the car so I could check in I find out that my room was not ready. When expressed I was a little tired, the front desk person got a little snippy and said that they were going as fast as they could. They were still cleaning it at 5:30 pm, so I'm glad I was not there at 3:00 which was check in time. After putting away everything, I called down to the desk and requested that my car be brought around so I could go to dinner. After waiting an additional 15 mins for my car at least my dinner was good at Outback. I got back to shower and there were not enough towels for that night and morning showers nor were there any wash cloths. A hand towel was a little big, but it works. So I got in bed and the bed was wore out probably about 5 years ago and in need of being replaced. The sheets were also in the same shape. Around 11:00 the air could not keep up and it was just miserably hot in the room the rest of the night. Thought with the Hyatt name it would have been good, but I was really disappointed.

Very Good Experience

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: Location,
Cons: The room HVAC appears to be the Achilles Heel of the room design: prone to noise and located in a wall close to the bed.
Location: This is Charlotte's City Center -- what's NOT to do?!!
Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and issued room keycards. It would have been nice if luggage carts were available for self-service. Our nicely-appointed efficiency room featured a near-full-size fridge and dishwasher, as well as a stall-shower big enough for two. When the AC kicked in, however, the machine noise was unacceptable and they cheerfully moved us to another unit. The hotel is right next to the Sports Arena and bus/train station -- convenient walking distance to all City Center attractions. Outdoor (third-party) parking is available for $5-7/half-day, and we were glad to pay $24/day for Hyatt's indoor valet parking. A hearty breakfast is complimentary with a buffet plus omelet bar -- and the coffee is excellent. The fitness center was adequate and all the machines were in good repair. The pool is outdoors on a 7th floor balcony and too small for much more than sitting and chillin' (no laps). We will definitely stay again.
