Hampton Inn more than adequate

Pros: Affordable, staff competent, breakfast included, clean and attractive
Cons: NA
Location: 10 minutes from Charlotte
Room was clean, had very good amenities, staff courteous, rate was reasonable.

Not bad for the money

The rooms are nice but very loud..there was a lot noise from the outside..

Hotel is going through some renovations but room was clean and comfortable. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Lots of shopping in area and easy route uptown.

This hotel is a dump - for the most part. In their defense they are in the middle of re-modeling it, but boy does it need it. The hotel lobby was set up nicely - nice furniture, nice breakfast, nice staff. But like the rest of the hotel the lobby was somewhat dirty. The room itself was unacceptably dirty. Right after the room was cleaned there were still a lot of dirt (I'll call it dirt) in the bathroom floor and carpet. Almost like they didn't even vacuum. The rooms had double beds which I missed that detail when booking. The neighborhood surrounding the hotel was sketchy at best. This hotel is nowhere near worth the money. Maybe things will be different once they have finished renovations, but for what we paid a night you might as well go closer into the city. There are definitely MUCH better hotels, that are cleaner and in a nice neighborhood for minimally the same price. I'm disappointed in Hampton Inns. When I booked I said to my friends that I was staying with "Hampton Inns are always nice so we'll be fine." Unfortunately I no longer have that confidence.
