“Really Pleasant Surprise, Can't Wait to Go Back”

The Hampton Hotel, in Matthews, North Carolina, is well kept. Upon arrival I was greeted politely, and even had a question or two answered with regards to local eateries and financial institutes. In comparison, the pictures that you see online do not do the hotel justice, it makes it look outdated, when in reality it is very polished and comforting. Just by looking at the pictures the first time, I was tempted not to make a reservation at this hotel, but I am happy that I did! One of my expectations was to have bathroom with a bathtub, and did not want to have an accessible "standing shower," and I got that. The other was to have bacon included in my hot breakfast; unfortunately this was not offered in the hot breakfast, but I can tell you what is: large sized waffles, sausage patties, a hot chicken sandwich, cereal, fruit cup, I cannot remember if there were eggs or not but it is enough to calm your hunger. For the most part it was majority a quiet stay, but you can hear people's conversations when they are in the hallway, so just a hint people when you are standing in the hallways,the guest bedside or across from you can hear every word you say, especially if you are pretty jovial and happy that day. The cleaning staff begin their duties about 11 o'clock so either find something to do, so they can upkeep the room, or put a do not disturb sign on the door. I did not get the chance to use the pool, the computers, nor the gym, but everything else was great.
