“Shabby and small -- disappointing”

I stayed here two nights while in the process of moving. Of the four hotels I used during this move, it was the worst. It's an old motel turned into an "extended stay" suite, and the room is tiny. I had a full size bed and one chair and that filled all the living space. The kitchenette was tiny and poorly stocked, and the Internet connection was by the kitchen bar. That meant sitting in an uncomfortable bar stool to use my computer...which would be untenable if I were on a business trip, since it cuts off circulation in the back of the legs. The linens and towels were clean and the bathroom was okay. A big negative was the old fashioned in-room air conditioner that made noise all night long. When the noise got to me and I turned it off (blessed relief!), the heat quickly mounted, and I had to get up and turn it on again. "Low" doesn't do anything to dampen the sound level! The neighborhood seemed safe and quiet, but I would not recommend this place to anyone who needs a good night's sleep.

“It will do for a night....”

Room was clean but not thoroughly clean. There were old stains on the sink and drip lines down the cabinets. There were several other things but to sum it up it looked like the cleaner did a half-way job, hitting the main spots and areas and not taking the time to do a good job.

What to pack

Do not have a bag for dirty clothes and such. The room add-ons are cheap and minimal. Does not have a hair dryer.

“Lived up to my expectations”

I went there for a night and it lived up to my expectations. It was clean and as a young female travelling alone I felt relatively safe. It was a little out of the way from downtown Charlotte (about a 10 minute drive, 20 minutes to the nearest mall) but for the price it was worth it. I would stay there again when I am in the area.

“LOUD AND NOISY”

My husbands and I experience there was FAR LESS than expected.The hotel room within itself was nice.But our room location (room 105)was located directly under a staircase.So we heard people going up and down the stairs all night long!!!!!!! It was very loud and disturbing to us

“Homestead is Great”

I am a woman how traveled to Charlotte by myself so safety was a huge factor for me. I felt completely comfortable at Homestead Suites. The front desk people were very polite and helpful, the room was comfortable and clean, and the free airpot shuttle was on time. The shuttle even took me to a near by shopping center. All in all my stay was great.
