A little disappointed

We took our children who were expecting to swim until we realized the pool was empty...this was not told to us or on the website. Children were highly disappointed. The DVD player did not work in our room and the cost of food was insanely priced.

Homewood Suites Never Disappoints

Pros: We really appreciate the front desk receptionist and the shuttle driver. Both were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to assist.
Location: The hotel is close to the airport and decent restaurants. The shuttle will drop off at locations within 3 miles of the hotel.
After an afternoon of battling with an airline over a missed connection (long story), the service received at Homewood Suites by Hilton Charlotte Airport was a pleasant end to a long day. The front desk reception was excellent. After learning we were checking in with just the clothes on our backs, the receptionist offered toiletries and recommendations for dinner, complete with hotel shuttle. Additionally, she arranged an early morning taxi pickup for transport to the airport. She and the shuttle driver are assets...nothing but smiles and great service!

Terrible hotel stay

Pros: Nothing
Location: It is next to a strip club, which was no interest to me.
Clarion Hotel has the nerve to raise rates just because they are in the same city as the CIAA (college basketball tournament), then not offer anything. The elevator was so slow, there is only 4 floors, but it took forever to get to the top floor. the toilet in my room did not flush correctly, had to hold it and flush several times. It took 5-10min of running water to get hot water. On the last night of my stay (Saturday) the water to the entire hotel was turned off. All night with no water!!!, then the water finally comes on at 11am Sunday morning, check-out time, then it is brown water. It finally runs clear around 1pm, then there is no hot water on cold water until 5pm. I ended up taking a cold shower at 3pm and leaving. I had drove instead of flying but not having water and waiting around for it to come on put me behind schedule and I got to my next destination 6 hours later than planned. It was unheard of for the hotel not to offer some kind of alternative for loss of water for this amount of time. Then when I asked for an adjustment in the over-priced room for this inconvenience, I was told they were allowing me to stay past my check-out and not charging me for an extra day. Well, the only reason I stayed was because they kept telling me to wait for the water to come back on. I had missed breakfast and lunch waiting on water, I had no access to a bathroom which is desperately needed when you wake up.

Great Experience

It was everything that the website showed. I love the Suite with a full kitchen and even a microwave. Complimentary breakfast was awesome. Literally breakfast food. Even though it's located by the airport, you would never notice. Very quiet and secluded. Only 15 minutes away from the epic center and other venues. I would definitely stay there again.

We booked a double bed suite through Expedia. They ended up overbooking so they upgraded us to a 2 room suite. Check in was at 3 and we did have to wait until 5 but the front desk clerk was so nice and she kept us updated! I only wish I had gotten her name. The room was amazing and very clean. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone interested. The only thing that could have been better was the hot breakfast. Some of the food was delicious but overall most of it was not. Also the lady overseeing the breakfast that morning was rather rude to another guest!

Reserved non smoking weeks before only had smoking room. Would or could not offer refund or suggestions. Had to leave in middle of the night. Couldn't stand the stench.

Nice hotel close to airport and downtown Charlotte

Pros: The location was great and the cost was reasonable. Staff called the room after we checked in to make sure we found it acceptable - a nice touch.
Cons: Need to repair that dying refrigerator! And it would be nice to have two packs of coffee in the room instead of one.
The lobby was pleasant and the staff tried to be helpful. The small selection of snacks in the lobby was extremely overpriced. The room was lovely and clean, with a small living/kitchen area and separate bedroom and bathroom. Unfortunately the refrigerator made such loud groaning and grunting noises that we had to turn it off. The breakfast appeared adequate, but we did not eat there. Although we were close to the airport, there was surprisingly little noise from flights overhead. I would stay here again.

Location: 7 miles from PF Changs and Cheesecake Factory 15 mins away from Concord Mills 2 mins away from Charlotte Airport
The staff was beyond professional and courtesy. They truly made me feel welcomed and at home. The breakfast was awesome!!
