Good for an inexpensive 1 night stay

Posted Apr 15, 2015
Pros: The price and location
Cons: The bathtub needed regrouting, there were large brown stains. The beds looked very old, sagging into the middle.
Location: It was very close to the highway and easy to get downtown.
The hotel was easy to find, check-in was quick and easy, enough parking spaces even at midnight.

Convenient, budget-friendly hotel

Posted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: The staff here were amazing. The day time front desk lady was very warm and welcoming; the maintenance crew were also very friendly.
Cons: This hotel is very dated and could stand to be refinished. Major crack in toilet, appliances old and worn.
Location: This location was very convenient to Plaza-Midwood as well as the Fillmore.
My husband and I took a quick trip down to Charlotte for a concert and the La Quinta was perfect for our short stay. They accept dogs of all sizes and do not charge a pet fee (HUGE plus!). The hotel staff were great and very friendly. The lady at the front desk upgraded our room to a king bed with microwave for free. The hotel is rather dated; it is clean but the furnishings and appliances are worn. Altogether, you can't beat the price of this hotel and its convenient location.

Convienient hotel

Bathroom needed some TLC. It was generally clean but outdated and there were cracks in the toilet and tub. Bed was comfy, location was great. Beds and room were clean.

Nice hotel and enjoyed our stay.

Pros: The comfortable bed
Cons: The breakfast is quite limited
Location: location is okay.
I had booked online. When I got there I was told that my name was not on file and I did not have a room. That was disappointing especially hearing this after a long day of traveling.

Housekeeping

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Large rooms, patio
Cons: Breakfast could be improved, and as I mentioned the one experience with housekeeping
Location: Near the airport, not far from downtown
The first 2 days, our housekeeper was extremely pleasant and accomodating. The 3rd day, a different person came at 9:30 to clean our room. I asked (nicely) is she could return in 30 minutes as my mother who is 89 was getting dressed. I also told her there was no reason to change the sheets which is the usual policy after 3 nights, but we would be leaving tomorrow. So, all we needed is to freshen up the room like had been done the last few days. At 1:30, we came back and no one had cleaned our room. I called to the desk and asked to have it freshened up. When we returned that evening, all that was done was a stack of towels left in the bathroom: no beds made, wastebaskets emptied (which were very full), bath cleaned up, etc. As I checked out, I mentined it again at the front desk and the only reply was ...our housekeeping staff leaves early. I explained the above and there was no apology, it left a bad impression on the last day.
