Wait

Posted Jul 27, 2015
90 minute check in wait was unacceptable. We ended up missing part of our iteneray. Found a half eaten candy bar under the bed, obviously a rushed cleaning job.

Great Hotel!

Pros: Staff, modern decorative, comfy beds
Cons: the clutter of too many people at the pool. Don't share with the other hotel too.
Great hotel within walking distance of a lot. Modern decorations and amazing staff, we loved it!!

Hidden gem in Uptown Charlotte

Posted Jun 16, 2015
Pros: Everything, price, location , amenities
Cons: The only thing that could be done differently is if the rooms had a bath tub. It didn't bother me, but I know some prefer baths.
Location: All of the attractions on the south side of Uptown are near by, the TWC Arena, Overstreet Mall, etc.
Le Meridien is a similar hotel to the Loft and Hotel Indigo. It is modern with very nice room furnishings. This hotel was surprisingly low-priced based on the level of hotel and its location. You even have some free street parking right across the street. By virtue of it being on S. McDowell Street, it is not in the busiest part of Uptown (Downtown) Charlotte, but everything is a block or so away. You also have great dining choices both in the hotel, a short walk away, or a mile or two drive away.

disappointment

Expensive parking, took a while to check in, beds are too soft... weak wifi signal & charge a fee to use it... slow check out. Not worth the price we paid.

Excellent Service

When I arrived I asked for a room with a view of the Duke Energy Center because it is my daughters favorite building and they were very nice about it. They made sure the room had the best view possible. Evoke had a very tasty Omlette and lavender infused OJ. The hotel is within walking distance to many attractions and travel hot spots. My group went down to enjoy the pool and hot tub but were disappointed. The pool was extremely cold and the hot tub was occupied by 4 very large men. The security guard who told us it was time to close the area for the night saw that we were upset. He went to his management and asked then to rectify this inconvenience. They were going to open the facilities solely to us but we had already settled down for the night. However they did allow us a late check out, normally 12 but we got until 2:30. this allowed us time to enjoy the pool AND the free admission to the Mint Museum. I will definitely make this my home away from home when in the Charlotte area.
