Hidden gem in Uptown Charlotte

Posted Jun 16, 2015
Pros: Everything, price, location , amenities
Cons: The only thing that could be done differently is if the rooms had a bath tub. It didn't bother me, but I know some prefer baths.
Location: All of the attractions on the south side of Uptown are near by, the TWC Arena, Overstreet Mall, etc.
Le Meridien is a similar hotel to the Loft and Hotel Indigo. It is modern with very nice room furnishings. This hotel was surprisingly low-priced based on the level of hotel and its location. You even have some free street parking right across the street. By virtue of it being on S. McDowell Street, it is not in the busiest part of Uptown (Downtown) Charlotte, but everything is a block or so away. You also have great dining choices both in the hotel, a short walk away, or a mile or two drive away.

Pros: The decor of the hotel was outstanding
Cons: Add more lighting to rooms.
Location: Hotel was walking distance and quick drive to everything downtown
Very Nice hotel but rooms did not have enough lighting... felt dark.

Contemporary styled gem in Charlotte

Posted Apr 2, 2015 on Hotels
Staff was impeccable. Had stunning work/ local artist in the lobby as a weekly activity for the hotel guest. Due to the snowstorm I would say don't stay on the upper floors the wind is really strong. Windowsills really need to be resealed. Other than that I would say this is a great hotel.

Nice hotel for price

Posted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: comfy beds and accommodating staff. Brought us champagne glasses and gave us one free to drink to the bar since it was a special occasion.
Cons: Cleanliness of the parking garage.
Location: 4 dollar uber to downtown. Awesome.
Customer service and the staff were amazing. Gave us free waters, tons of extra pillows blankets, however the hotel is a bit farther away from downtown. The parking garage is a far walk from the front door of the hotel and you have to go through conference rooms to get to the hotel which was confusing if you are not familiar with the area.

Lovely, modern decor, but a bit pricey and missing

Posted Mar 27, 2015
Five steps to elevator, and no grab bars in the bathroom made this a little disconcerting for a member of our group who had recently had knee surgery. Parking was an additional expense, which was not noted in the advertising,or one could self park but it was a bit of a walk back to the hotel

Cosmetic facelift hides some issues.

Posted Mar 25, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, location close to downtown.
Cons: Walls/Vents need some work to deaden sound proofing issues. Without sound issues would recommend as a decent hotel.
Location: Close to downtown, 10-15 min walk to time warner arena and bars and restaurants downtown. No real shopping downtown Charlotte. Close to Nascar HOF.
Stayed with a group of four guys for NCAA tourney. Cosmetically looks nice but walls are paper thin to the point you can hear people in other rooms closing curtains. Any noise at all travels through walls and vents. Even normal level conversations can be heard pretty clearly. Check in was easy and staff were friendly and helpful, location is a short walk from downtown and easy to get to. Cleaning was a bit hit and miss but overall ok. Noise was the biggest issue and unfortunately meant poor sleep over four nights.

Not happy !

Posted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: let me think about that ?
Cons: have room ready for the 3pm check in, lower the room service food prices !!!
After driving for 5 hours to get to the hotel my room was'nt really for check in at 3pm, i was tired and wanted to lay down, after waiting for about an hour {about 4pm} they finally had a room ready for me, i could not recommend this hotel. When i finally got in the room i was so tired and hungry, i called room service , i was going to order a cheeseburger, fries and a coke, when she told me my total would be $39.50 i cancelled that order and said no thankyou. Thankfully i was just there for one day !
