First time at The Omni

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Connected to the Epicenter
The staff member greeting us was not in a good mood, no smiling, no eye contact, kind of a chip on her shoulder, there was only one person working the check in area, with ~6 people waiting in line. The hotel is just not very nice,..my room had a poor view, 5th floor looking over the pool and an entire side of windows of offices of a building, staring at you. The room was rather outdated, bed VERY loud and creaky, wobbly, etc. Try another hotel in the area would be my recommendation.

Great stay

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: Location, room
Cons: Free WiFi in room
Great 3-day stay at the Omni. The room was very spacious, clean, quite and had comfortable beddings. The location is great; right in the heart of Uptown Charlotte with walking distance to many restaurants, bars and attractions. Two things could have improved my stay: complementary breakfast and free in-room WiFi.

Great Service with a smile

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: I liked the location, the accessibility to restaurants, bars and the airport. Close proximity to all.
Cons: It would be wonderful if they had a spa/salon in the facility.
Location: Great restaurants, bars and nightlife.
From the call I made to the front desk before I got to the hotel, till the last day of my stay, everyone at this hotel is friendly and so willing to help and accommodate. It is my second time at Omni in Charlotte, and I couldn't be happier with my stay.

Not so happy with the $15 valet parking charge, but everything else was great.

Great hotel in the center of everything.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful , clean, well-run, luxury hotel. Perfect location in center city. Very secure and safe. Only two small issues: pool isn't really on hotel rooftop with full views of city as advertised; it's on the second floor rooftop surrounded by walls. If you're tall enough, you can see over them. Still a nice pool and pool area. Our toilet ran a bit and shower handle came partially loose. We didn't bother to say anything, but the staff were so great that I'm sure they would have fixed it if quickly if we complained.

Overall very good

Nice place but right next to epicenter nightclub and loud music reverberated throughout the entire building until 2am. Hotel suggested ear plugs and white noise channel on TV which did help. They also gave a $50 voucher for lunch for the inconvenience. Not their fault at all, but it was hard to get a good nights sleep.

Tropic Thunder

Posted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Due for remodel in a bad way. Window and noise barriers could improve throughout.
Location: Good uptown location with easy access to many activities
We stayed for an anniversary. Experience was very underwhelming. Hotel condition is very dated and utilities have not kept up with the times. When we entered our room it was very warm and humid. We promptly turned on the A/C, but even after 4 to 5 hours the room was still very humid. Wall paper was cracking in places and there was water damage around the joint of the wall and ceiling. Furniture and bed were very dated and not that comfortable. It was a Saturday night and we were staying on the side that faced the Epicenter. The noise of music and street activity was very noticeable even at 14 stories. The hotel was kind enough to move us to the other side of the building and it was quieter. The humidity and the noise killed the romance. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone (not even my enemy) wishing to stay in Charlotte.
