Spider welcomed me the first night!

Hotel staff wasn't very friendly at all. There was a spider on my pillow upon arrival. Behind the beds were very dirty, there was a ball of rubber bands on the floor. Looked like they don't clean behind the bed often at all. Picked up the mattress and the bed skirt cover had hair and dirt on it. Yuck, this means they don't change this often either. Overall this hotel isn't clean, and not friendly service. Wouldnt stay here again.

Unbelievably Poor

Location: location was ok
so we check in after long journey, with two non-smoking rooms booked with Pets. The desk advises they didnt know we had pets and all pet friendly rooms are booked argued to get into a room of any sort. Pet fees are really high - basically doubled the room rate. Our kids are in one room that smells so bad that they cannot sleep. smelled like a mixture of toilet backup and cat urine. Adivised a front desk person at 9am next day and they said they would get maintenance right on it. Resturned 9pm - no one had done anything and front desk night staff said we didnt report itto a manager so it was our fault. Asked to switch rooms - denied - "we are full". Smell was so bad you could not enter the rooom let alone sleep there. Argued with front desk - no apology whatsoever and no new room. Next day switched kids to another room (smoking - only one available) eventually and they closed the old room off as the smell was now seeping into the hallway. With all of these issues there was never once an apology or a sorry and we were made to feel like it was our fault all the time. Staff were rude and incredibly unconcerned about the guests. worst hotel experience in Charlotte.

The hotel was just ok, not a big deal, good to stay if your on a quick road trip and just need a place to crash.

Way short of expectations

Pros: Absolutely nothing.
Cons: gut it and rebuild it
It took me 10 minutes to find a desk clerk to check me in upon arrival. The entire hotel smelled like the incense they burn in some convenience stores. Non-smoking room smelled like smoke. I had to sleep with the window open (it was February). I heard neighbors' TV on both sided and above my room. Heard every footstep above my room all night long. Carpet and bed covers seemed nasty dirty to me. Forget about eating breakfast - I couldn't wait to get out of this place.

Cons: Hire a manager.
Location: The location is perfect...hotel....not so much.
Overall the hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. But, it is not a hotel where you can put more than one person to a room because the bathroom is basically in the room itself. The breakfast was horrible. I came downstairs at 7:30 each day and one day the coffee was out, and literally there was nothing left to eat. One morning the staff looked like they were still in their pajamas and had a head wrap on her head. VERY unprofessional. Rude to guest about cleaning up the mess at their table. She said "I'm not the maid here, you need to clean up your mess". The staff was not very helpful with directions or hotel recommendations.....if you could even locate them. They stayed on their cell phones unless you absolutely yelled for help!

Christmas expo

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Cleanliness, friendliness, remodel, and provide a safe and secure environment.
Location: Nothing nearby of any use.
My wife and I went up for the Christmas show in Charlotte. This was the first time staying at this Sleep Inn. Room was dated, and nothing was quality. Rowdy group next door partied all night making it miserable. Go somewhere else...anywhere.

Pros: Location, right off the highway. Good Price.
Cons: A little outdated and noisy, and my room needed some maintenance.
Decent location, not too far from downtown but still convenient to the airport and restauraunts.

Pros: The location was great for easy access to the airport.
Location: The Billy Grahm Library a mile or so away was worth visiting and we appreciated the close proximity to the hotel.
Easy check in, good price and clean, up to date interior. Helpful friendly staff. We appreciated the shuttle service to and from the airport. The complimentary breakfast was basic, but satisfactory. The only negative (no fault of the hotel) was a late arriving tour bus with noisy guests arriving and loudly shutting doors and talking in the hall. After half an hour it was quiet again.
