Very nice and clean room, helpful friendly staff

Pros: Spacious room, very clean
Cons: More pool rules.
Location: Charlotte. US whitewater rafting center was nearby and awesome
We came in late after dinner to a full parking lot and the employee working went out of his way to help us figure out parking.

Very Nice SpringHill Location

This is a basic SpringHill location and if you've stayed at one before, this one offers pretty much the same level of services and comfort. The room was clean, the free Internet was fast and stable, and the service provided by housekeeping and the front desk was solid. Would definitely consider staying here again if my travels took me back to Charlotte.

Decent spot for a quick stay

Didn't spend much time at this hotel, in late, left early. Our room had a badly stained carpet which is immediately off-putting. Other than that, this hotel is an acceptable option.

I agree with you that a stained carpet is off-putting and is a very bad first impression when you walk into a room. I apologize for its condition and that you experienced this during your stay. We do have a cleaning rotation in place to clean the carpets in each room but I will speak with our Housekeeping Manager so we can better report and resolve them when we find them in rooms. Again, I apologize and thank you for providing feedback from you stay. I hope that other than this issue, you did enjoy your stay with us and your visit to Charlotte. SpringHill Suites by the Charlotte Airport

We had a perfectly nice stay. The room seemed a bit hastily cleaned-- crumbs on the couch, food on the pull-out bed. The pillows on the couch seemed old and kind of dirty, but not awful.

Guest comments and reviews are the top way that we learn what we do well and also areas that we need to improve in. I was disappointed to see that you felt you had a cleanliness issue in your room. I will be bringing these issues to our Housekeeping Manager and we will revise the way we inspect rooms. Based on your comments, it appears that the majority of the room issues were around the couch itself so I will have her focus more attention to this area while inspecting. In addition, we will bring this up to our entire Housekeeping staff, so that they know any cleanliness trends we are finding in rooms as well. Again, I apologize that this room was not up to your or our own standards during your stay and assure you that we will be addressing them for future stays! Thank you!

Adequate- but not what I expected of a Marriott

So I just have a couple of complaints. The hotel is perfectly fine. But the staff seem overwhelmed. There was a big snowstorm, and no snow was shoveled, no salt was laid on the ground, and they were completely ill-prepared. Cars were getting stuck in the snow and ice in the parking lot. And the management of the hotel did nothing to try and clear away the snow. It was slippery, and my father walks with a cane. We felt that it was unsafe for us to take one step out the door. Also during our stay, our toilet got clogged. when the maintenance man came up to the room, he just wanted to drop off the plunger and he didn't want to even enter the hotel room. Eventually he came in the room when I told him that I didn't know how to use a plunger. The only positive for the hotel was that the lobby had free coffee and tea.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience you experienced while staying with us. During your visit, we were hit with a major snowstorm which caused the airport and the entire city of Charlotte to shut down. Our staff did try to keep up with the conditions by shoveling snow and laying down salt, but as you saw it was a constant task. Please be assured that guest safety is our top priority and that we do everything possible to guarantee this. I'm sorry that this devastating weather happened during your stay and hope that we get the opportunity to serve you again in the future during better weather!

Nice hotel in a great location near the airport

Pros: location
Cons: I'm a Diet Coke fan. Only had Pepsi.
Location: was in town for business. Great location for that.
Staff was great. Hotel room was perfect. Egg nog cookies a nice touch. I even forgot my toothpaste and the front desk took care of me.
