Very nice hotel!Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: The beds were very comfortable and the shower had immediate hot water.
Cons: Free WiFi would be nice.
Location: Location is great. The shopping plaza is right across the street. Carowinds is not too far away.
The hotel was beautiful! Our room was very nice and the beds were clean and extremely comfortable. The luxury bathroom impressed my husband and he even admitted it was the nicest hotel he's ever stayed in (better than the Double Tree in Miami). The view from our room was spectacular and the shopping plaza across the street was convenient. I'm not in to golf but the course looked great. I hope to stay here again!

AWESOME Hotel!!!Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: The staff was very good at attention to detail. I needed a car and they got one for me right away. Just felt very comfortable at this location.
Cons: Nothing to improve...I enjoyed every aspect of my stay and plan to return very soon!
Location: Great restaurants near by from fast food to fine dining.
I stay at many upscale hotels for work and the Ballantyne is right up there with the beszt of them! The rooms were very clean and very high quality surroundings!! I plan to come back with a group of my friends and take advantage of the golf as the course looked excellent!!

Perfect locationPosted Apr 29, 2014
Pros: They make you feel like your royalty
Cons: I don't like that spa clients can use the outdoor pool all day long
Location: There are tons of restaurants right across the street. The hotel has a free shuttle to go across. They have there own 18 hole golf course.
I have stayed at this hotel many times. I would say it's the nicest hotel in the area! They have a five star spa, I make sure a get a message every time. There restaurant "the Gallery" is fabulous. I feel it's a old school luxury hotel. I love it, and I know you will too.

Quiet havenPosted Apr 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
My stay was great, everything was perfect, except the wifi, which is not included in the room and a genuine a rip-off. Otherwise, this hotel is great, the food was good, and the surroundings nice and quiet.

Great luxury, getaway feelPosted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Presentation, valet, service, food (room service), everything.
Loved the service and attention-to-detail with the staff. Free valet was a bonus. I truly felt like a valued resident while I stayed. And room service (breakfast) was amazing!!

Comfortable hotel with great in-room amenitiesPosted Mar 10, 2014
Pros: It really is a step above most other hotels, in every way.
Cons: I expect some standard spa amenities like a disposable razor. Spa customer service could be better, it would have been nice to get offered a drink
Location: Lots of nice restaurants in the area.
Loved that the hotel provided robe, slippers, bar, starbucks coffee and nice bathroom amenities. Bed was very comfortable and room was much larger than the average hotel room. Bathroom overall was very nice and clean, with a garden tub separate from shower. The bartender in the lobby bar was great, and nice that they add bar snacks. I did not try the Gallery restaurant but did get a massage at the spa. The spa is great in terms of services and relaxing environment, but they could use better amenities and customer service from the staff.

Convenient location. This was our 50th wedding an.Posted Feb 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
Very enjoyable. Nice eating places within walking distance. There was a bellman- I do not remember his name, but he was a Swiss--that was really first class.

Lovely hotel.Posted Jan 7, 2014
We enjoyed our stay very much. One comment must be made about the restaurant staff and their knowledge to be certain to meet health dietary restrictions. They are the conduits to the chef. Some dietary restrictions are health necessities. Not choices. The restaurant staff was not prepared to ensure that the meal met the diner's needs. The result interrupted our relaxing stay. I strongly suggest educating the Waite staff to ensure safety in eating there.

Great Hotel, Expedia DisconnectPosted Nov 20, 2013
Pros: The staff was excellent, the facilities new and clean, and the character of the entire experience very elegant.
Cons: The hotel needs to work out the connection with Expedia so that others don't have the same difficulty receiving the room reserved.
Location: There's very little within walking distance (or at least not without crossing a major thoroughfare) but plenty of suburban shops appear nearby.
We were generally very pleased with the hotel. The room was beautifully appointed, the common spaces were well designed and nicely proportioned, and the bar and restaurant were excellent. As a hotel, this was as good as any in the area. My wife and I only noted two drawbacks or difficulties in an otherwise perfect stay. The first was a location issue. The explosion of growth in this area of Charlotte coupled with the current road construction on I-485 meant getting too and from the hotel was far more difficult than its relatively suburban location would suggest. We were stuck in traffic coming and going. And, second, when we reserved our room through Expedia we requested a King bed. Our confirmation letter from Expedia confirmed it. When we arrived, though, we were given a two-double bed room and, when we requested the proper accommodations, we were told there was no availability... Thankfully the manager was able to juggled a few things and give us the room we reserved. According to their books, though, there was no error and the fault lay between Expedia and their booking department. Given that the hotel was able to overcome what apparently was an outside complication, we were more than happy with the end result and the dedication the staff showed to making things right.
