Across from the Convention Center is walkers plus!

Posted Dec 16, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: The FOOD! If cooked on the premise it should have taste and not just be there to decorate a plate. Pastries should not be old, for pity sakes, Bake!
Location: The NASCAR museum was great fun and the convention center was close, otherwise be prepared to catch a cab, go for a walk/jog.
Staff was very pleasant and the room was as expected for our three day two night stay. Awoke the next morning to have breakfast in the restaurant and chose an omelet that was, unfortunately, devoid of flavor. It was impossible to tell if the bacon was real, because it looked good, but also failed in flavor - perhaps it had been left out of refrigeration. Thankfully, Oikos yogurt was there to the rescue, we never ate in the hotel again. If you park in the garage, DO NOT charge it to your room, because you can't get out of the garage without paying the meter, I wish I had known ahead of time. The huge rainfall shower head promises much and if you like that sort of thing, try to stay on the 4th or 5th floor, but gravity is weak on the 15th and we got a spring shower rather than a rainfall. While everything was pleasant, it was distressing to find that nothing is included with the price of the room and I truly felt like the hotel saw me as a captive ATM.

Location: NASCAR Hall of Fame is very close and well worth the short walk.
We took the very short walk to the NASCAR Hall of Fame. It was well worth seeing. The B of A stadium is also close by.

Good hotel for ACC weekend

Posted Dec 8, 2014
Busy place. ACC Weekend and ACC and DR. PEPPER headquarters. As busy as it was, staff was very friendly and quick room was nice, however when I closed the blinds the first night, a balled up pair of white athletic socks rolled into view. That was about like a four inch diameter white ball. How do you miss that? I gave them to the maid. She apologized profusely. The hotel Was completely decorated for the weekend. It looked great. They even had complementary umbrellas for walking around in the ample rain. I liked the shower which has a hand wand/overhead choice. There were police officers on scene for event security. Lots of elevators available so the wait was short, even with the crowd. Close to the stadium. Next door to the civic center. You can park in the garage and walk all over downtown. I would stay here again. Being able to park and walk and not worry about traffic and finding parking is worth it.

Very clean. Lobby smelled amazing. Linens soft & bed was amazingly comfortable. Loves the robes...ended up purchasing one for me and my husband as Christmas gifts.

Worst hotel experience

Posted Nov 19, 2014
Although I reserved three rooms with 2 dbl beds adjoining each other months prior to check in. 6 couples were put in one room from 3pm to 5:30pm waiting on the other rooms, where one room turned into a single bed. So then waited another 30 min to be switched to a handicap room. Which lost our dinner reservations. It was a disaster! Also be sure to pay the hotel and not a third party so if this happens to you, they can refund/reimburse you for your troubles! Since I went through Expedia they couldn't help me!

Great. Fresh smell. Clean room. Hotel towncar took us to Epicenter for only 6 dollars, no wait for a cab. Overall nice stay.

Great location

Posted Oct 19, 2014
Pros: Great location and perfect city view.
Cons: The hotel needs vending machines that can be accessed after hours. I am aware that the store on the lobby level, but it isn't open 24/7.
The hotel was is a great location in the center of Charlotte. The staff were very friendly and the room had two large windows for he perfect city view. However, I was shocked that there was no mini-fridge in the room and no vending machine on any floor.
