Met our needs.

We were moving out of the country and packing our home. We needed something close to "live" in for a week or so while we transitioned out of our home. We selected comfort inn. The room was comfortable and a nice respite. Getting to the room was painful, the luggage carts (one works, one doesn't). The main front doors are not motion activated and the sidewalk is too narrow for the luggage cart to roll or turn on. Creating a nightmare. Often the elevator wouldn't work or would get stuck on a floor with the doors opening and closing. There's one elevator. Our room safe didn't work we called the front desk for the code to reset it, it didn't work. Numerous attempts we finally got a maintenance man to reset it the next day. After very long days of packing, cleaning and all the preparations of moving all we wanted was to return to our room - but we couldn't because often our door lock and handle would not work. Several days this too went on with "resets" and finally the offer to move to another room. By this time we had 7, 8 pieces of luggage and a fridge full of items. It simply was not an option. We endured. Hopefully, the room lock, latch has been replaced. I suppose for $700 it was ok. There was breakfast every morning and a/c. It certainly added to my stress and made my moving ever more complicated.

Weekend getaway

Pros: Attractive lobby, great location, and nice pool
Cons: Nothing at this time
Location: Close to Route 250 and 29. Excellent location.
Travelled to Charlottsville to visit for three days with some friends. City,hotel and weather were all great!

A Night for Paul McCartney

Pros: Everything was satisfactory.
Cons: It was a non-smoking room and there was the smell of cigarette smoke when we entered the room.
Location: Very well located for shopping and restaurants.
I think everyone in the hotel was there for the Paul McCartney concert. The room and the bathroom were extrememely clean. However, even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room, there was a slight smell of cigarette smoke in the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Comfort Inn Charlottesville

Pros: Friendly and pet friendly
Location: lots of things to do nearby. Great location near UVA

Buy Some New Carpet!

Pros: Comfort, low noise level. VERY CLEAN!
Cons: Needs a third lamp in room and new carpet.
Location: Within easy drive to downtown and to Monticello. Short walk to Canes restaurant.
Hotel is hidden behind a Cane's Chicken restaurant. Very small sign at road. Difficult to notice sign. Carpet is quite worn both in the lobby, hall and room. Numerous stains on carpet. Piece of carpet cut as molding unattached from wall. Only two lamps in room. Poor lighting. A third lamp would have made a difference. That being said, as always, a Comfort Inn is comfortable. Pillows are great, mattress is great, and the rooms are always clean. This room with all the age showing on the carpet and even with the stains, you could tell was cleaned by someone who takes pride in a job well done. Breakfast was more than adequate and the noise level was the best of ANY hotel I have ever stayed in. Also, the cooling system was fantastic.

It's was ok, the only problem was parking , was not happy about that . The front desk staff were wonderful and very helpful .

Friendly front desk. Facilities showing wear. Rooms ok, clean bathrooms. First tv didn't work so I moved. Door in second room was hard to open.

My stay at Comfort Inn

The hotel is hard to see from the main road. It is located behind a restaurant and I passed the entrance up twice. There were some type of youth sports teams there. They were uncontrolled. Running up and down the hallway screaming and yelling during the night and early the next morning. Their noise caused the dogs which were on my floor to start barking. All of this was at 6:30 a.m. I know the hotel can't control a lot of this. If I ever have to stay here again I will be asking if youth groups are booked as well. I travel with youth iny work and we assure they do not disturb others. That is only courteous!
