Dirty and run down

Pros: location
Cons: tear it down and rebuild it
First nite I got stuck in a smoking room with no option to change. Room was disgusting. Second nite managed to switch to non-smoking room. Only minor improvement, and the smell was about the same. This place is very old and run down.

Five Men and a Beer Party

Pros: The desk was cooperative.
Cons: Some renovation is necessary in rooms.
Location: University of Virginia.
Staff had to change my room because the first room reserved for me had been occupied by a smoker. I give credit to the desk for investigating and accommodating. That said, when I got back to my new room at 10 p.m., a group of five men in the courtyard immediately below my room were engaged in party atmosphere that included LOUD conversation, swearing and beer swilling. This "party" lasted until well past midnight and at no time did anyone from the staff ask the men to lower their voices or more appropriately to end their LOUD party.

Run down dump!

Cons: Close or change name, this is not a fair representation of the hotel chain.
Location: Great shopping and dining within .5 miles.
Requested nonsmoking room, sign stated nonsmoking, but reeked of cigarette stench! Hotel staff offered box of arm & hammer to sprinkle on carpet. Nothing appealing, dirty, broken, or plain junky. Was totally embarrassed to have reserved this hotel! Unfortunately since I reserved on expedia, had NO WAY to cancel this dump without loosing my money. If this happens to you, run and pay for another hotel. You won't be sorry!

Bad Choice

Pros: nothing to like
Cons: new carpet, new beds and pillows, refinish tub or replace, repair floor lamp wiring
Location: location was ok but no attached restaurant or one within walking distance, heavy trucks in the parking lot, lots of work trucks, someone had a dog
torn carpet, smoke and musty smell, tub cracked, 3/4 inch gap under door and no seal. floor lamp didn't work

The pool was out of order!

"Yes we have a pool, it's closed". Our bathroom was gross. This place needs a renovation! The staff was very nice.

Urgh.

Pros: The complimentary breakfast was fine, and the pillows were soft.
Cons: More than one front-desk staff member on duty at check-in. Actually answer the phone.
Location: Location was good. Right on 29, just off the 250 bypass, and near Grounds as well as a number of restaurants. Nice and quiet.
The bed was hard. I actually contemplated sleeping on the floor because the bed was so hard. The staff at the front desk weren't there when I arrived, and took several minutes to show up and check in the other parties that had arrived before me. After I had checked in, I realized I didn't have the wifi password and called the front desk to get it. I called both from the room phone and my cell, at least 6 times, and never got through. Very frustrating experience.

Old School Accommodations

Pros: The AC was cold and the bed was comfortable.
Cons: I would suggest building a new hotel.
Location: Avoid the steak house across the street. It is way over-priced.
The hotel was old. The room doors opened to the outside. It was hard to imagine it being kicked in during the night. The TV was an old analog set.

TWO NIGHT STAY

Pros: IT WAS CLOSE TO THE FACILITIES WE CAME TO USE
Cons: THE BLANKETS ON THE BEDS WERE A LITTLE WORN.NOT COMPLAINING
Location: WE WERE THERE 3 DAYS FOR A SHOOTING EVENT
WE STAYED ON THE FIRST FLOOR LEVEL.THE ROOM WAS GOOD AND CLEAN.EVERYTHING WORKED.

Terrible experience

It had a really bad smell that made you gag..frig was broke, no condiments in the room, customers hanging outside your room being loud and disrespectful, no washcloths and only 2 bath towels in the room.

Old and run down. too far from downtown to walk..

Pros: I was glad they had a room available since most hotels were full.
Cons: Overall service where employees would say hello and make eye contact.
Location: Near by expensive and good steak house. Nothing to do near by. You would have to drive.
The front of the hotel was clean. Service was adequate but with no personality. Some of the grounds were unkept with trash. Pool was covered and the area around it was unkept and very unattractive and dirty. There was a small rusty hole in the bathtub.
