Cheap hotel away from the traffic jam at school
Posted Jan 9, 2013
Pros: cheap
Cons: ice maker
Price was right. Room was clean. Ice machine was broken--had to walk 300 feet to another ice maker.

A Reasonably Priced Hotel
Posted Jan 29, 2013
Pros: Convenient location. Helpful staff.
Cons: Setting. Worn look.
Location: Close to the things I wanted to see--Downtown Charlottesville and Monticello.
Hotel was comfortable. The staff was helpful. The room was nice. The setting of the hotel is difficult. It's at an intersection which makes it difficult to find. The sign is not that noticeable. There is another building right next to the grounds which makes it difficult to park. Otherwise, it was adequate for my needs.

Do not stay here
Posted Jan 27, 2013
Very run down hotel. Both pools were under construction and not usuable. Very loud all night long. The bathroom ceiling was falling in. I would never stay here again.

Not great
Posted Jan 11, 2013
Pros: The had a room available.
Cons: Service. Amenities . Room repairs.
Location: It was convenient to Monticello .
Was over priced for what it was. Nothing horrible but nothing to make us want to come back.

Disappointed
Posted Jan 22, 2013
Cons: The shower and general condition of the room
Location: Location was desirable
the bathtub needed refinishing and the pool had a cover on it with water standing in it. the country gravy was horrible and the eggs were per cooked then warmed in the micro wave. The rooms need to be remodeled

Great value!
Posted Jan 8, 2013
Pros: There were a variety of pillows, and it was very clean with a microwave and a refrigerator.
Location: Great location and proximity to the downtown mall and the University of Virginia. 5 minute drive.
Very clean, great location, and the gentleman working the front desk was very patient during a sold out weekend. He also was able to switch our room when Expedia accidentally booked us for a smoking room instead of a non-smoking room.

Decent for the price

It's an old hotel that needed some TLC, but for the price, it was okay. Breakfast was alright as well. Adding tea bags would be good, too. We're not coffee drinkers.

Wasted Money

Not good at all. Non-smoking room clearly was not! Smell bad! Wi Fi worked in one of the two rooms I booked, but did not worked in my room. Breakfast was all I can rate ok.
