“Nice hotel”

Stayed here for one night...convenient location for touring wineries. The hotel's complimentary van service to downtown area for dinner was great. Cookies upon check-in are a nice touch. Building & rooms very clean and modern. The location was kind of weird with Sam's club right next door. The hotel felt a little out of place in a business annex area. Overall great hotel and value.

“The perfect anniversary”

We have never been to a hotel where every single one of the staff were so kind, helpful, and eager to assist you in any way!! A truly wonderful experience, and when we come back to Charlottesville we will definitely stay at this Doubletree again and again.

“2nd stay and will return”

They had some sort of college sports group there while I was there, so they put me on the executive floor (under lock and key) so I was not disturbed. No additional charge. Nothing like good old fashion service! In room steak dinner was great as was the room service! I WILL return!!!!!!!!!!

“The latest of several stays”

We've stayed at this hotel multiple times. Usually, the hotel is very clean, very quiet. This trip was not the best of the best. The heater was unplugged. The hotel ran out of shampoo - which they rectified before morning and comped us breakfast. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

“Great place to stay”

I ended up with a suite on the 9th floor, complete with Executive service (free dinner hors d'oevres and breakfast served with a smile). In the morning, there was a breathtaking sunrise overlooking a large area of trees. I felt like I had hit the jackpot!

“weekend in Charlottesville”

It is a very nice hotel. The staff at the front desk were very polite and efficient. The location is a bit further from the center of town than I would prefer on Rte 29 at the end of several miles of strip shopping centers. Our only minor complaint is that the bath room door was a bit dented and there was a cigarette hole burned in on of the chair cushions (althought it was a non smoking room)

Nearer downtown and the university would be my preference

“Shabby Service”

I initally wasn't pleased with lack of extras in my room (no microwave, no fridge, no movie channels), THEN we determined that our heater didn't work. THEN our four year old locked herself in the bathroom. We called the front desk to request someone come up with keys -- after about 10 min., we got her out by using our car key in the lock. We called the front desk to tell them all was well and no one answered. No one EVER came up to the room from security. Needless to say, I am unimpressed with this hotel. There were other things I found as well - privacy door lock was loose, handle fell off on the bathroom sink, etc. I would advise anyone to look elsewhere for a hotel if you are planning a trip to Charlottesville.
