Not what I'm use to from Double Tree

Didn't empty our trash. Daughter's feet were filthy from floors in the room.

High promise, low delivery

Pros: People, food and the pool.
Cons: Room comfort.
Location: too many things to mention. There is a book in the room.
I spent 45 minutes waiting for an airport shuttle at the airport. It never showed. I tried to shut off the VERY loud ventilation system by pushing the OFF button. It came back to life at 2:00 all by itself. The top of the dresser was bowed. The drawer was unglued. My neighbor gave me a fright by banging on the door of the adjoining room because hotel's alarm clock radio woke him up. The maid forgot to leave the shampoo. Breakfast was great. Staff was very understanding and courteous and apologetic and told me that they are remodeling floor by floor. The restaurant serves above average fare. Next visit to Charlottesville, I'm staying someplace else.

Room was not up to normal Double Tree standards

There was tooth paste dryer in the sink and counter as well as stuff on the floor including pills and paper. Not what I am used to at a double tree.

Meeting

The purpose of my stay was for a large meeting. This was my second time staying here in the last two years. The hotel room was very clean and quiet. The food was very good and the staff was very friendly. Based on both visits I would highly recomend staying here.

Location: 5 minutes to airport and all places I wanted to go to.
I was happy with the hotel. The staff were nice. The rooms were nice and clean but not super modern. The exterior was older. Great deal though so I would definitely stay again. The pool and hot tub were fun. Also the bar and restaurant were nice.

The DoubleTree was immaculate, comfortable, well-staffed and very conveniently locatd.

Pros: Food and room was very nice
Cons: 2 stink bugs were in my room but other than that it was good. I also never got my room cleaned on the second day.
The food in the tavern was fantastic. Front desk staff were very helpful. The location was difficult to find - smart phone directions took me inot a parking lot of a lace just below the hotel. There isn't clear signage on 29
