The lobby, pool, bar of this hotel was amazing - I am guessing it is pretty new - added as an attachment to a pretty much standard hotel building. The rooms were clean with a modern feel. -- I have stayed at several DoubleTree hotels and have never been dissatisfied.

this is a great hotel, in charlottesville, but it is way out the center of town, so we had expensive cab rides into and out of town.

Fabulous Hotel! Attractive in every respect. High quality throughout! Room furnishings high end--furniture handsome and comfortable; bedding outstanding; bathroom with granite vanities and beautiful tile flooring. Large flat screen TV. Breakfast delicious. Couldn't be happier.

“Sweet, suite stay”

We arrived,after 40 years of marriage and a 10 hour drive, tired and grumpy. We found the hotel, went to our room and went to bed. A few minutes later a group of obnoxious middle school children made it impossible to sleep. The hotel staff moved us to another room (on the exceutive floor) where we stayed happily ever after. This is a fine hotel well worth the money.

“Nice hotel at a good price”

For a quick weekend trip in Charlottesville, this hotel was great. From the warm chocolate chip cookies at check-in to the friendly staff, clean room with modern furniture and fixtures, and free wireless internet, everything worked out well. The pool looked really nice, but I didn't have time to check it out. I wish they included a free breakfast. The university, downtown, and other attractions are pretty close by, about a 15 min drive away.

Great hotel! Nice room, quiet and well maintained. I would stay away from the breakfast buffet. It is expensive and there are better options close by.

“Most Impressed”

A most impressive and well-maintained hotel. I have never used Doubletree before and wondered if I had made the right decision. My husband was very impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of the room. Overall kudos to those who keep the hotel clean, they are doing a fine job. On all my next visits to Cville as long as this hotel is available, this is where we will stay. The only daunting experience was the parking lot which displayed a sign "park at your own risk" and was not properly lit . Better lighting will correct any apprehensions patrons may feel when parking. All in all a wonderful stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a luxurious hotel feel without the high price.
