“One night stay”

Arrived late and left early but wished I had time to use workout room and eat breakfast which smelled wonderful. But mostly loved the warm cookie I was given at check in and a very comfortable bed.

everything was great. there was a New Years Eve event going on and even with all the guest and noise, our room was still very quiet.

“Terrific Hotel”

This is a one terrific hotel. We had great service all week there. The staff is tremendous, and they'll go out of their way to take care of you. The in-house restaurant had some of the best food we've ever enjoyed during our travels. If you stay there, you'll find yourself eating there a great deal of the time. No need to venture out much. Highly recommended.

“Great hotel for the price”

One of the nicer hotels in the Charlottesville area for the price. The free cookie is a nice touch on arrival. There were no surprises. We've stayed at a couple of the economy hotels in the Charlottesville area over the past two years and they've been pretty bad.

“Great food, great staff, great experience!”

The staff is extremely polite and courteous. I have stayed 3 nights at this hotel over the past two years and will come back every time I have occasion to visit Charlottesville. The food is very good and reasonably priced; the location is the only drawback as it is farther from downtown and UVA than some other hotels but it is definitely worth it for the comfort. It is close to the airport and is just gorgeous on the inside. And the environment is friendly if you are a single traveler like me, or if you have a family. There is a pool that looks like a lot of fun and I saw many varieties of folks from couples to entire families with children. I can't recommend this place enough. Clean spacious rooms, excellent cleaning staff - total comfort. I've had rooms with two double-beds and a king size, and all were very spacious. Easy to get on their complimentary wifi from a phone or lap top. An added bonus is the Walmart down the street. The hotel has supplies if you forget anything but if you need something a bit more substantial like suntan lotion you can go down the street and find anything you might have left behind or discover you need.

“Wonderful stay”

I was absolutely impressed with this hotel and its amenities. Not listed on Expedia (that saw): free shuttle anywhere in town at any time. This saved us, probably, $50-70. All of the staff were courteous, helpful, and professional. A special thanks to Courtney for being so kind to us as he drove us all over the city. My only complaint is that our room was never cleaned or restocked during our stay. I understand that four women's clothing and bags probably overwhelmed housekeeping and I can appreciate that they might have hesitated to touch very much- but we never even had TP or toiletries replaced. Overall, a great experience! I would recommend the Double Tree!

“Very comfy”

Loved this hotel. We were guests at a wedding reception there. The only downside was that the hotel was booked and we could not get the early check in we requested and were not informed of this until we got there. We made the best of it and got lunch very close by and then was able to check in. Everyone there was very nice and the room was very comfortable.
