Out in the countryPosted Nov 5, 2013
Pros: The desk staff, especially Ellen, was outstanding. They were so friendly and helpful to us.
Location: Tip Top restaurant nearby is excellent for breakfast! A true local gem.
The Hilton Garden was a bit east of Charlottesville, up near Pantops. The location was especially beautiful in the fall, as the colors had changed and you felt as if you were in the country. The rooms are spacious and accomodating. We were very pleased with the accomodations.

Pros: We liked the setting with a few walking trails. The convenient shuttle also made it easy to arrange for quick to trips to Charlottesville.

Slightly better than average.Posted Nov 1, 2013
Pros: The bathroom was clean. Room had a decent view of a lake and fountain. Had a Keurig coffee machine in the room. Friendly staff.
Cons: I think they should get rid of the "adjustable bed" feature and just go for a nice mattress. It was not that adjustable, and really uncomfortable.
Location: Great breakfast place up the road called Tip Top. It had a great breakfast, friendly staff, fast service. Also Keswick Winery is a few miles away.
My girlfriend and I were going down to the Charlotteseville area for our friends wedding at the Keswick Winery. We had read some pretty good reviews about this hotel and decided to book a room with a King sized bed. Upon arrival the staff was very pleasant, had no issues with service. The bed was unusually stiff and I realized they mentioned the beds being adjustable. I found the lever to make the bed more soft, the staff said to wait about 10 minutes to let it settle, we waited and found that not much had changed. Oh well, stiff bed, not a big deal. Then we wanted to watch tv and fall asleep, and it kind of had a mind of its own. It kept going to the order a movie screen. Lastly, for some reason the wifi did now work in our room. When we called the desk they said there was no reason it shouldn't be working and they would look into it. Maybe we were just on the wrong side of the hotel?

Nice hotel, but c'mon, pay for cont. breakfast?Posted Oct 22, 2013
This hotel was super clean, beds were comfy, and we loved it. The location is a little farther away from Charlottesville than what we are used to, but it was worth it in my opinion. The only think that kind of irked me was the requirement that you pay ten dollars for each person's continental breakfast. The food was the standard fare that you get at hotels, so it wasn't anything special that I would pay for. Just seemed kind of silly to me, especially considering that we would likely only eat some fruit and drink some coffee.

East Coast trip 2013Posted Jul 25, 2013
Pros: Location, cleanliness and friendliness of staff. Breakfast buffet was high quality and generous. Price was reasonable.
Location: Three ex presidents historic properties plus....
Hotel Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Greeted by at least two people every time I passed through the lobby area. Always looking for any way to help. Room was set a good temperature, was clean everywhere, beds and pillows comfortable and no bug issues. Proximity very close to things of interest such as Monticello and Ashland Highland. Checkout was east and quick.

Pleasant, however all hotel chains should invest in quieter refrigerators.... Way too noisy.

Good location super close to Monticello and MallPosted May 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very Nice hotel and Lobby and dining excellent. But rooms need a little updaing to match lobby and nice dining. Breakfast was great but is not included in price but convenient with excellent choices with breakfast station with chef which makes it well worth it.
