Great room!

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Clean
The room was very nice and clean, and the hotel is very convenient to the interstate. The first room they sent us to was a single full size bed. I told them that wouldn't work for my pregnant wife and I, so they gave us another with a king with a little convincing.

Nice hotel close to downtown and relatives

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: The hotel is near downtown hall and near my relatives. It's affordable and yet the stay is excellent. What else could you ask for?
Cons: Well, it could be nice if there's free breakfast.my only comment is that the pancakes that we ordered from your restaurant was salty.
Location: Downtown mall and historical areas are near and so the university of Virginia.
Excellent services and staff are friendly. Room is spacious with clean linens and bathroom.wifi is working and fast. Area is quiet and peaceful.

Overall hotel ok. Slightly disappointed that it didn't offer free breakfast like the holiday inn in washington

Dear nish, Thank you for choosing to stay with us. As a full-service Holiday Inn, we have a restaurant and bar within the hotel which serves breakfast and dinner daily. While it is not complimentary, there are breakfast package rates always available. Thank you again for choosing to stay with us, and we look forward to seeing you again in the future!

Overall a good experience. The A/C kept the room cool, but seemed to remain very humid in the room as compared to the hallway.

Nice but over priced

Posted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: Location was okay. Grounds are beautiful
Cons: Updated elevators I suppose. The lobby is dated and looks stuck in the 90s.
Location: On the south side of town, a cab ride from downtown and near great vineyards.
All and all it was okay but at $180 a night it was over priced. We were right next to the elevator bank and it was Very noisy. The room was clean and the staff curious.

Dear Thomas, Thank you for choosing to stay with us while visiting Charlottesville and UVA. We hope you had a great time. We often find our area's prices effected by the many festivals and events held in the area, as well as at the university. We strive to remain a great value compared to other nearby hotels. We are pleased that you found our hotel clean, and the staff curious. We hope to see you again soon!

Nice alternative lodging in Charlottesville...

Posted Apr 26, 2014
Pros: It appeared to be recently renovated with mostly wood floors--today's replacement for carpet. Rural location moves it away from the University.
Cons: Comfort of beds, better access to shower head, lower prices in restaurant.
Location: Location: see above. Many things to do in the Charlottesville area, including the University, Monticello, wineries, shopping, etc.
The room was excellent--well equipped and it appeared to be recently renovated. However, the bed wasn't as comfortable as others and the shower head is difficult to adjust (it was turned toward the wall) for shorter people. Also, the restaurant seemed to have higher prices, although it had a much larger choice than other Holiday Inns in the area. I saw cars there from different parts of the U.S., probably because of its proximity to Monticello. The high volume of traffic and the motel's closeness to the interstate made it somewhat difficult to get out of the drive.

Good quality for rate

Restaurant surprisingly good food for cost. Roasted chicken good and decent margarita. Staff very customer service oriented.
