Nice winter viewPosted Feb 17, 2014
Nice location especially with snow around. Friendly staff, warm breakfast, and comfortable room. Would be nicer with a bigger bath.

Beautiful property - pleasant stayPosted Dec 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
For a "chain" hotel, this was probably the most beautiful property I've ever seen. The building itself was in keeping with the architecture of the area, and the surroundings was primarily rolling hills. The view towards what would have been "modernity" were blocked by a small hill. The staff was very friendly, and the room was quiet and comfortable. Excellent experience!

Lovely view near Madisons's Montpelier estatePosted Nov 16, 2013
Felt like a new hotel. Although we were facing the front/parking lot, the back side faces this great view and it's only about 5 miles from Madison's Montpelier estate. Great Mexican restaurant in town - El Vaquero West - is in between the hotel and the estate. The breakfast buffet is much better than most I've seen in hotels. Too bad the breakfast area was full; it would have been nice to have had more tables/chairs set up in the entrance foyer to have other places to sit and eat.

Beautiful hotel and locationPosted Oct 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
I was surprised by this hotel. Holiday Inn is always my first choice for a hotel but this was by far the prettiest and most luxurious HI I have stayed at. There was a CVS next door but very little to choose from for dinner within the immediate town. The lack of choice for dinner was a small price for the beautiful view. I just couldn't get over the view.

beautiful settingPosted Sep 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was as close to Charlottesville as I could get for a college tour. It exceeded my expectations -- especially nice if you are not intent on staying in the city.

A night at the InnPosted Sep 18, 2013
Pros: The hotel was clean and well updated, particularly for the area.
Cons: At other Holiday Inns they give you goodie bags when you check in with a bottle of water, popcorn and a candy bar, carry on the tradition.
Location: We went hiking on the Appalation Trail
Enjoyed the view and the ride up the hill. We left 2 items in our room, several hours after leaving we received a call letting us know this. The hotel is mailing those items to us. We have forgotten items at hotels before but have never gotten them back, even from other Holiday Inns where we stay most often. Enjoyed our stay and will return when back in the area.
