Lovely view near Madisons's Montpelier estatePosted Nov 16, 2013
Felt like a new hotel. Although we were facing the front/parking lot, the back side faces this great view and it's only about 5 miles from Madison's Montpelier estate. Great Mexican restaurant in town - El Vaquero West - is in between the hotel and the estate. The breakfast buffet is much better than most I've seen in hotels. Too bad the breakfast area was full; it would have been nice to have had more tables/chairs set up in the entrance foyer to have other places to sit and eat.

A night at the InnPosted Sep 18, 2013
Pros: The hotel was clean and well updated, particularly for the area.
Cons: At other Holiday Inns they give you goodie bags when you check in with a bottle of water, popcorn and a candy bar, carry on the tradition.
Location: We went hiking on the Appalation Trail
Enjoyed the view and the ride up the hill. We left 2 items in our room, several hours after leaving we received a call letting us know this. The hotel is mailing those items to us. We have forgotten items at hotels before but have never gotten them back, even from other Holiday Inns where we stay most often. Enjoyed our stay and will return when back in the area.

Great hotel in beautiful settingPosted Aug 6, 2013
Pros: Clean, friendly, beautiful serene location.
Location: Near a small town, plenty of pretty rolling backroads to explore. Fairly close to Montpelier.
My family and I had a very pleasant stay here. The view of the blue ridge mountains was beautiful, the hotel was very clean and well-maintained, and we enjoyed swimming in the pool.

perfect for wedding partyPosted Aug 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
We used the Holiday Inn Express to house most of our guests for a wedding at Montpelier, and it was the perfect choice. The hotel staff was great, the location was perfect, and the hotel itself was a great setting for people to interact, hang out together and catch up with each other. They were also extremely accommodating in setting aside a large block of rooms at a special rate.

overnight stop while on vacationPosted Jul 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel was nice and staff friendly. Only one minor problem and that was the shower curtain was too short and allowed water to puddle around tub for an accident waiting to happen. We did let them know about it at checkout. We would stay there again if in the area.

Great for a quiet country stay,Great staff.Posted Jul 6, 2013
Location: heavenly rural Virginia.
What a fantastic find of a hotel! We stayed there for 4 nights and found this hotel in the small country town of Orange VA really friendly, comfortable and clean. The staff treated us almost like family and really could not do enough for us. We think that despite being a chain hotel the staff were local and really cared that their guests had a memorable stay. We would highly recommend this hotel and really couldn't find fault with anything. The pool was a delight, again really clean and well maintained and the country views of the nearby farms and corn fields with the rolling hills in the background made this a just simlpy beautiful place. The breakfasts were wonderful, plenty of choice and any ammount of food served by a lovely lass, again like all staff was so nice and friendly and really cared about her service. We will deffinately be back here to stay....Highly recommended!! Total value for money!
