“Great!”

Great experience. Wonderful, friendly, helpful staff and very nice room. We were even provided complimmentary bottles of water and snacks. They had a workout room and continental breakfast! All for a very reasonable price. A little tricky to find but we found it.

“Centrally Located”

Located in the North Grounds right next to the Law School and Graduate Business Schools of University of Virginia. Convenient to the University bus system and Barracks Road Shopping Center. Hotel is owned by school and is poorly marked. Registration Desk is in small brick building marked Visitors.

“Would definitely recommend”

Great location although hard to locate. Not much in the way of signs. Once inside my husband and I were quite pleasure with the clean, comfortable room. Staff was helpful and friendly. Great parking although a bit of a walk from the rooms.

“An unique inn.”

I like the style of the building and its surrounding nerighborhood. It's located in the Darden school and besides the law shool of UVA. It's so beautiful and quite. The service is good except the breakfast.

“Pleasing but pricey.”

There was plenty of closet space and the matress was extremely comfortable if you like soft but supportative. The HVAC worked great and the air purifying system made the air quality great too. The room and bathroom were very clean. Shuttle buses running to the main campus took me to where I needed to be. The continental breakfast was okay but too many sweets with not enough healthy options. The bathroom was a bit of a tight fit and there was only one lounge chair. The grounds were very quiet and private. For the price I expect a bit more.

“Fine if you're visiting the business school.”

Not so close to other U Va. points of interest. Surroundings are pleasant, i.e., you're at the business school. Room was clean throughout, but somewhat small. Queen bed with clean sheets, but not the most comfortable. Very pleasant and helpful folks at the reception desk. Continental breakfast (included) was a selection of granola bars, juice bottles and coffee to take back to your room. No set-up for breakfast. If you're visiting the business school, can't beat the location. Otherwise you can do better for the money.

“Not Really an Inn”

The Inn at Darden is not really an Inn, but rooms that the Darden School at UVA typically uses for its executive program. Accessing the rooms is a bit awkward since there is not a central lobby, like your typical hotel/inn. Instead there is a gate house where you get your key when you come onto the Darden School property. Parking is a hassle since you must park in a garage that is not close to the rooms, which is difficult if you have luggage. I came in late at night and really was on my own in terms of parking my car and then finding my room--there is no porter to help. The rooms are fine and very clean and the staff is pleasant. The hotel is in an okay location if you are in a program on the North Grounds, but if you are looking for a real Inn with more amenities and service, this is not the place to stay.
