Football weekend at UVA

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Everything, price, location, amenities - all good!
We came in Friday night to visit my daughter at Lambeth and were extremely happy with the bed, the pull our and the extra room in this "studio". It was supremely convenient to campus, to trolley and across the street from a shopping center with everything from Ben and Jerry's to Zoe's kitchen. Will definitely stay there again

Marriott brand is not keeping up with the others!

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Good location behind the very nice Barracks Shopping Center. Convenient for sightseeing in the area. Hotel is just a few miles from the UVA Rotunda.
Cons: This hotel needs more comfortable beds.

It's unfortunate that the Residence Inn is not keeping up with the quality of the other extended stay hotels. This hotel is the typical Residence Inn layout with extremely small rooms and uncomfortable beds. We stayed here only because the Hampton Inn was booked.

Karen, Thank you for your feedback, we take all our guests comments seriously and will look further into your concerns. I am glad that our location worked well for recent stay. Although our property is 18 years old, we did just recently complete a full renovation in 2013 with new mattress, I am sorry that your bed did not meet your needs. I do hope that you give us another opportunity to wow you on your next trip to Charlottesville, VA.

Convenient to Monticello and Charlottesville.

Cons: Make printed tourist information easily available. Not everyone has app capabilities on their phones. Suitcase rack would be nice.
Location: Jefferson's Monticello
Pet friendly. Clean. Staff responsive to plumbing issue.

Pool closed and no follow-up to promises

Posted Jun 5, 2014
We booked this hotel mainly for its pool. That is important for a family with four kids. The pool was closed for maintenance. We only heard about this at the desk checking in. The manager offered Marriot reards points to (in a way) compensate for the tears of two of our youngest kids. Two weeks later. No rewards points. We will never return.

I am so sorry that our pool was closed during your recent visit to Charlottesville, We did experiance some unforseen issues while in the opening process from the winter season. We have since repaired all the issues and the pool is up and running. We do hope that you will give us another chance to make your stay memorable. I will be sure to follow up with the manager on duty to ensure you received your points that were promised.

large comfy room and great breakfast

The title says it all. The only knock I had was that there was a small bit of toothpaste on the bathroom counter. It made me wonder when and how vigorously it had been cleaned, but I'm a bit nit picky.

Thank you for your comments, I do apologize about the toothpaste issue and I can assure you that this is not the standard we live by. I will pass your comments on to the housekeeping department and use this information as a training tool. We do hope that you choose the Charlottesville Residence Inn again when traveling to the area.
