Charlottesville Stop off

Posted Nov 24, 2014
Pros: Modern look. Inside rooms and good breakfast.
Cons: Fix the heating problem. Room was way too hot and we couldn't open a window nor cool the room with the heating/cooling unit.
Location: Not a lot nearby but not too far to drive to UVA and other Charlottesville attractions.
Liked the updated looking hotel and breakfast area. Hotel appeared clean. Breakfast was good. Double bed room had microwave and small fridge but was very small. Beds comfortable. The biggest issue was the room was very hot and turning the air on as cold as we could get it did not get the room down to a comfortable temperature.

Very nice, quiet comfy hotel close to downtown.

Posted Nov 16, 2014
Pros: I liked everything. Will use again.
Cons: Nothing that I can think of.
Location: Downtown and historic Charlottsville, as well as U of VA.
Easy in and out. Got a great night's sleep. Heat in room works great! And a Waffle House is right across the street!

Room too small

Posted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Use that particular room as a single room with only a double/queen bed in it.
Location: All the activities at the college, Monticello, Michie Tavern, and numerous local vineyards and orchards
We were here to visit grandchildren at UVA, so we basically used the room just to sleep. But the bed was hard and uncomfortable. The chair for the desk was really hard as well. The room was small, too small for 2 double beds, desk, refrigerator, microwave and closet; there was no room to walk. One person had to sit down if another got up. The bathroom, however, was quite large and accommodating. Overall, the sleeping area and the bathroom were very clean. But it was so cramped and tiny that it was very uncomfortable for the three of us.

Cold and austere but spent might to visit monticello and wasn't in room long.many road workers staying there. Breakfast was uninspiring Drove to historic old town for dinner at open air mall... Lovely! Many wonderful dining options.

Close to UVA Campus & Monticello.

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: This hotel has plenty of free parking for overnight stays.
Location: Close to UVA, Downtown Mall, & Monticello. Also a short drive to Richmond.
I stayed here because a lot of the hotels close to the UVA Campus were booked due to the football game being played between UCLA & UVA. This place is easily within driving distance of the campus & the downtown mall. Staff was friendly, and it was nice to have a room with a fridge & microwave. Good experience.

Great Location

Being from Charlottesville, this is the first time I have stayed in the city at a hotel. The location is awesome - seconds from the highway and minutes from downtown. The decor was recently upgraded. The staff were great.
