Lovely hotel with awesome lake views and access.Posted Jul 1, 2015
The service in the dining room left a bit to be desired. We waited an hour after being seated to order food. And that was even with a reservation. Breakfast staff not as friendly as dinner staff. Other than that very good experience. The spa was luxurious. Will definitely return.

Good location and food, service disappointingPosted Jun 3, 2015
Pros: Location and, for the most part, the quality of the food
Cons: Servers, food quality (see above) and quality of television/tuner/satellite system. A hairnet and hand lotion in the bathroom would also help.
Location: Beautiful location and lots to see close by (e.g. Shuswap Lake and Park, Herald Park and Margaret's Falls, local Indian sites)
The lodge is situated on the east beach of the Little Shuswap Lake thus giving guests an excellent location to watch sunsets and experience a lakeside visit. While the food was mostly good (salmon was over cooked and the portions were on the smallish side) I would have to give the serving staff a failure, both in making customers wait forever to be served a simple cup of coffee (when the restaurant was empty, not full) and for not getting the room service meal correct, despite repeating the instructions several times. The lower floor room was on the small side, had a small window and door facing the inside courtyard, but did provide a small, but pleasant, patio where you could sip your morning cup of coffee. However, the air conditioner was extremely noisy and we could not sleep comfortably thru the night because of it. No one seemed to care either, when we checked out the next morning. I think I would rate this hotel higher if the cooks did not overcook a simple piece of salmon (veggies were almost raw...way too hard and give a slightly larger portion) and the serving staff were more attentive to their guests...more training? The hotel has recently been renovated and has the appearance of higher quality....but don't expect to find the TV easy or quick to operate, nor the bathroom to be of as equal quality as some of the decorations in the hallway and lobby. Attention to smaller details in both food quality and serving staff would raise my rating considerably.

A chill-out stay in a beautiful settingPosted May 29, 2015
Pros: Best bits - felt like a member of an exclusive club
Cons: Can't think of anything
Location: Lakeside with beach and dock with easy access to wonderfully scenic drives and boating/fishing activities as well as Highway 1
Enjoyed a wonderful 2-day stay during a BC road trip. Beautiful setting, all rooms making the best of the views, fascinating design, good menu and bar - a bit of an oasis! Wish I could have stayed longer even though I do not play golf and did not therefore take full advantage of what was on offer.

Close to Adams river salmon runPosted Oct 22, 2014
Dining room was excellent. Well equipped facilities and ambiance very nice. Downstairs beautiful copper mural should be on main floor for all to enjoy. Good food and reasonably priced. Beds and pillows were comfortable, missing hand lotion???

good locationPosted Oct 17, 2014
Pros: the closeness to the beach and to the park.
Cons: Better food for better price.
Location: We only stayed for one night, just enough time to see the salmon run, next time we will try to visit Chase.
we like the hotel for it's eassy excess to watch the salmon run, the restaruant food was't really up to it's price. The room was ralatively clear, only there were grasses on the floor when we first walk in. Over all it was a good experience, we consider going back.
