good locationPosted Oct 17, 2014
Pros: the closeness to the beach and to the park.
Cons: Better food for better price.
Location: We only stayed for one night, just enough time to see the salmon run, next time we will try to visit Chase.
we like the hotel for it's eassy excess to watch the salmon run, the restaruant food was't really up to it's price. The room was ralatively clear, only there were grasses on the floor when we first walk in. Over all it was a good experience, we consider going back.

Peaceful and scenic settingPosted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: Peace and Quiet and Scenic!
Location: We drove about 15-20 miles to where the salmon swim up stream to lay their eggs. It was quiet a sight to behold and we enjoyed it so much.
We enjoyed our stay at the Quaaout Lodge very much. The staff was very kind and helpful. And the rooms were clean, spacious and very nice. The beds very comfy and it was very quiet. If you like the big city and bright lights, then this probably isn't the place for you but if you want to get away from all that and enjoy quiet, calm and tranquility, then go to the Quaaout Lodge!! Granted we were there in Sept. and the summer rush had died out. We enjoyed peaceful walks, Sitting by the lake and listening to the loons, and my husband golfed and he loved the course!!!

Luxury with a differencePosted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: The look of the place, inside and out; the somewhat remote location (i.e., not in a city); the friendly staff and nice shop; borrowing a canoe.
Cons: The restaurant service was a bit slow, due to only one waitress being on duty outside. However, it was somewhat late when we arrived for dinner.
Location: A beautiful setting, with a little bit of cultural education (the Lodge is owned/operated by the Little Shuswap First Nation).
I was travelling with my elderly parents. We got to the Lodge via a back gravel road, due to an accident on the Trans-Canada highway. We took a detour, following a wonderfully helpful attendant at the Chase Petro Canada; she was heading home and led us on a backroad high up into the hills, then gave us straightforward instructions for the final stretch to reach the Quaaout Lodge. I was impressed by the exterior of the Lodge, set close to the beach on the east end of Little Shuswap Lake. Lots of wood, particularly in the central foyer. We had a nice meal, with good-sized portions (perhaps a little pricy) and I tried the elk ragout (tasted like beef, but was tasty). We sat outside on a beautiful evening (no bugs except a single wasp enticed by my beer). The next morning, I borrowed one of the Lodge's canoes for about 45 minutes - a lovely morning (I should have got up at 6 am). All told, a very nice stay (I'd return, this time taking my wife!).

Mostly lovelyPosted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The decor. The views. The food.
Cons: Staff could record issues around maintenance issues so that requests could be tracked and resolved quickly.
Location: Chase Falls, Salmon Arms shops: The Book Nook, The Shuswap Pie Company,Pick Cherry, Sushi Kotan restaurant,City park and fountain, Margaret Falls.
This hotel is beautifully located right beside the water. Each room has a view of the water and a good sized deck. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. It was clean and had a good sized fridge. It was nice to have a printed listing of the TV channels. However, we had ongoing issues with our toilet not working properly. We mentioned this to the staff on three separate occasions but the issues remained unresolved. The restaurant had beautiful views of the lake and the food was very tasty. The restaurant staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again. Great location. Close to Salmon Arm.

The hotel has views to a beautiful lake.Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: The access to the lake.
Cons: Would have liked to have been booked into the room we prepaid.
Location: Enjoyed the canoeing on the lake.
The food was great, but we were put in a regular room when we had paid for a deluxe one.
