“Nice, modern hotel, EXCELLENT staff”

We enjoyed the Doubletree hotel because of the excellent, friendly and helpful staff, the delicious reasonably priced food in both the restaurant and room service, and well as the convenience to downtown attractions. The hotel was a little too "modern" for my taste, a little stark and with all those sharp angles come lots of places for dust to hide. The room was clean, it's just impossible to keep it perfect with those decorating choices. The room and bathroom was pretty small based on my experiences in comparable hotels - definitely too tight to take the children along and have enough room to still move around! Overall, it was a great hotel for a one or two person overnight stay.

“Under Renovation”

The hotel staff was great, but the hotel is under renovation. When finished, I'm sure everything will be fine, but right now it's not an ideal destination.

“location, location, location”

The Clarion was great, everything was in walking distance. Downtown chattanooga was very accessiable, from here. Ballpark, Imax theater, aquarium, great resturants, and if you dont feel like walking you can get the free shuttle bus that runs thru town. The Clarion was very hospitable from the front desk to the bar/lounge, great service. We came down for a wedding and had a great time! The hotel is under construction, but it did not bother us, You do not walk thru or see anything in shambles.

“Great Location”

Hotel in great location and could walk to great restaurants and the aquarium. My only problems with the room was the bathroom did not have a fan so all the mirrors in the room fogged over, and the refrigerator was set on the cold side. Our water would be frozen solid by the morning. Staff was very helpful.

“Good choice for downtown Chattanooga”

In the heart of downtown Chattanooga, the Doubletree is within easy walking distance of many attractions, such as the aquarium and Childrens Discovery Museum. The hotel was remodeled in 2008, so everything is in good condition. Our room was fairly roomy, had a large flat screen tv, and free internet access. My wife visited the hotel convenience store; and while we expected prices to be high, she still passed on a pint of Ben & Jerries for $8.50!

“Review of Clarion Hotel Chattanooga”

The hotel was nice. Only thing I didnt like was paying $7.00 for parking. I was not made aware of this until check-in. I arrived late in the evening and the parking lot was on opposite side of hotel and no security. I had to walk all the way around building. No way to get inside without walking around building.

“A fine, affordable and convenient choice”

The '5's in my review ("Extremely satisfied" were most sincere). Regarding "Condition or maintenance of the hotel", I couldn't give it a 5, only because the bathroom exhaust fan was broken, and they should've noticed this before I did. Regarding "Comfort of your room", I couldn't give this a 5 either, because of one fly in the ointment; you could easily hear when the people upstairs or next door were showering, using the commode, or coming and going. My experience with well-known chain hotels is that they're very well sound-insulated. On the other hand, I think all of your other choices of equal convienience (i.e. a 5 minute walk from the aquarium and pretty much anything you'd want to see) are bed-and-breakfasts, and they also suffer from this flaw.

“OK but small”

The hotel was a reasonable hotel. Our only complaint was that the room was a tad small, difficult to open the suitcase and work around it without needing to use the bed. As with any Doubletree the cookies were excellent.
