Bad area, nice staff

Posted Jul 30, 2015
I made the reservation online and everything went smooth. It was a quick getaway with my son and a friend of his. When I got there, I almost drove by and I wasn't sure to stop. The area that is hotel is at, it looks so unsafe! We decided to stop and checked the room and decide what to do from there. The hotel inside looked cleaned. The lady at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. She even allowed me to check the room. She was Super nice and welcoming! The room was clean in general. We decided to stay. We got a balcony to the pool. It needed to be painted but it was ok. The pool area was ok. Water is clean. The bed pools need to be replaced though. After swimming, we went back to our room to go out. That is when I realized that two bulbs didn't work, TV had poor recepcion and there were not outlets by the bed. Pillows are super comfy. The AC unit was loud and sometimes made strong noises (like a crack) that kept me awake all night long. The boys did sleep with no problem. Breakfast was very good. The lady that was in charge was super nice and made sure everything was covered. She said "good morning" with a big smile and that made us feel very comfortable. She even came to the tables asking if we needed anything. Check out was easy and the lady helped me making some copies that I needed. In general, the hotel is what you can expect for that price. Their staff is super profesional and friendly but the installation needs attention.

Too warm for comfort

Posted Jul 26, 2015
The hotel is a lil rundown, and our room was too warm. They provided one tiny bottle of shampoo-conditioner.

Hot, loud, and dirty

Posted Jul 13, 2015
The only bright spot of my stay was the welcoming and kind front desk staff. My room was incredibly warm, despite being moved to a "cooler" room. My bathroom was dirty. And the hotel was incredibly loud. I had a pet, but was placed on the top floor the furthest room away from the elevator. Definitely not a hotel I would recommend.

Poor management

Posted Jul 12, 2015
We arrived in the middle of the night and went right to sleep. In the morning, I could see that the bathroom had not been completely cleaned prior to our arrival. The shower had a used bar of soap and debris left in it. We asked for it to be cleaned while we were at breakfast. Housekeeping came and rinsed the tub but the soap and debris remained.

Less than ideal

Posted Jul 12, 2015
Cons: The smell and the a/c
Location: There is a local brewery very close which was nice.
The common areas were hot and stuffy. The room, supposedly non-smoking, smelled of cigarettes. It was clean enough, but for over $100 I was hoping for a little nicer.

at least the bed was comfortable

Posted Jul 9, 2015
Pros: the bed is the only positive thing
Cons: everything
Location: it was right off the interstate, so location was good for travel.
1st room had broken furniture so we requested a new one. 2nd room wasn't much better. Shower curtain rod was broken, so shower curtain would not stay closed or keep water in the shower, went all over floor. There was mold in grout in shower. The room smelled very musty. The biscuits at breakfast were so hard it felt like it was going to break a tooth. The only positive thing about this stay was that the bed was comfortable! Would not stay here again. We have stayed in other La Quinta's and have been very satisfied.
