Great Getaway at Stone Fort InnPosted Nov 20, 2013
Pros: Ambience, staff, breakfast offering
Cons: Parking situation is a little dicey, but it is workable.
Location: Location was a strong point. Being downtown I was in walking distance of everything I wanted to do in the area. Plenty of dining and entertainment.
Had a great stay at Stone Fort Inn for a little interlude vacation. Rooms and staff were excellent. Had a minor issue with some fees when it was time to checkout, but the staff was more than willing to make the situation right and I left very pleased with the staff in all manners (including the awesome TerraMae restaurant that is associated with the Inn). The Inn had a lot of charm, the rooms were very comfortable, and I especially enjoyed the soaker tub. Breakfast provided in the morning was also a nice offering that really helped to put the experience over the top. I heartily recommend anyone visiting Chattanooga to give this place a try.

Comfortable old historic innPosted Nov 9, 2013
Pros: We were close to area restaurants and shopping in the warehouse district. The free breakfast was wonderful.
Cons: The door to the room 220 was hard to lock, had gaps in it, so that the light shined through at night and we could hear outside noises.
Location: see above.
Went to Chattanooga to visit friends and to watch the Head of the Hooch Regatta. This inn was recommended by friends who spent part of their honeymoon there. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful with a sitting area and nice large bathroom with garden tub and shower There was a balcony.

All questions asked above are answered with a response of EXCELLENT however I can't figure out if when I fill all the boxes w/orange if that's saying terrible or excellent. EXCELLENT everything, but need to redo directions so this old 57 yr old woman can accomplish commenting on ya'lls survey.

Beautiful hotel, but not for business travelersPosted Oct 26, 2013
Pros: It was just lovely and dear.
Cons: It would be so nice to be able to park by the hotel. I was a woman traveling by myself and the parking area in the dark was scary.
Location: I was there on business and didn't see or do anything else. It is close to all downtown sites and UTC.
This is a beautiful hotel and very nicely decorated. Antiques in the rooms, beautiful diining area and wonderful, civilized breakfast that was such a plus. I think it would be ideal for a romantic get away or maybe for a group of friends or a reunion--but I was traveling on business and it probably isn't the best stay for that kind of need. The desk chair was so low I couldn't work at the desk. The noise from the street was pretty loud, and I did need to sleep. The fan in the ceiling was quite loud also.

Unique place to stay in a historic buildingPosted Oct 21, 2013
Our room was very nice with antique furnishings. The bathroom was big and had a large tub and walk in shower. There was a nice TV too - although we didn't use it I saw some reviews that said they didn't have any televisions here. There is a Victorian library where you can look at or read old books and a very good breakfast included with the room stay including fresh fruit, pastries, biscuits, gravy and sausage, and made to order eggs. There was also a nice terrace and this historic building is walking distance to shops and restaurants including a very good gastro-pub called the Honest Pint.

My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night, and we loved it! It was very quiet, the room was very spacious but still cozy with a lot of character. We didn't get to stay for breakfast, but I'm sure it was great. We will definitely be staying here again!

Lovely HotelPosted Oct 11, 2013
Pros: It's individual and quirky decor
Cons: Make the rooms darker, black out blinds /linings
Location: Walked to the river front for dinner and again the next day. Museums and arts district nearby.
Only stayed one night. Our room was large the only disappointing thing was that it was light, there was an over door window. Staff on reception very friendly and helpful. Had delicious fresh cooked pancakes for breakfast. The restaurant and bar are closed on Monday (when we stayed) so can't comment on that but overall a great city centre hotel that is full of character and charm.

Nice Bed and Breakfast in downtownPosted Oct 11, 2013
Pros: decorated very nicely, friendly staff and wonderful restaurant downstairs.
Location: Location was great. Lots of things to do in downtown Chattanooga.
Our room was very nice and we also had the use of a sitting room that adjoined our room. The breakfast was wonderful. I had to ask for shampoo because there was not any in our room. We were on the front so it was a little noisy early in the morning because of delivery trucks, etc. I would stay there again.

Unique property, less than comfortable experiencePosted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: Balcony rooms, unique refurbished property furnished with antiques.
Cons: Better furniture, new beds, shades on street facing windows would be basic improvements. Innkeeper should be easy to locate. Phones in rooms.
Location: Hotel is downtown, near main attractions.
Interesting old building, but bad furniture, poorly maintained amenities, and homeless individuals sleeping against the building led to a less than comfortable visit for frequent business traveler.
