Clean room, good locationPosted Jul 20, 2011
This hotel is within walking distance to Egmore station. The rooms were clean, comfortable and the TV selection was good. The hotel called a cab for us on the day we check out and the cab rate was good. The breakfast buffet is good traditional Indian food.

Experience not goodPosted Apr 6, 2011 on Hotels.com
Not at worth for money.(except that there was complimentary dinner and breakfast) Room cleaniness was ok. Outside the room(common path to rooms) was stinking. Room amenities was below standard. Standard much lesser than other comparable(in price) in Chennai.

Hotel Park Plaza, Egmore, ChennaiPosted May 10, 2010 on Hotels.com
Decent hotel. Location is its biggest convenience. Although if you mention the road nobody will know it. You have to ask for it as the hotel opposite Albert theatre in Egmore. Egmore is a very convenient location. Good TV and all the cable channels. Internet access is pricey, but that is to be expected of a hotel. I will consider going there again if I travel there on business.

Very pleasant staffPosted Sep 23, 2009 on Hotels.com
Reception, room service and restaurant staff were very pleasant and helpful. They were polite, warm and ever wiling to give you a smile. The room was clean and comfortable. However, they forgot to clean our room one day. Room service also got our orders wrong two days in a row when we ordered fa meal by phone. They repeated our orders after we've made them, but still they brought us the wrong items. However, these are small inconveniences which we didn't mind, as we found all the staff wonderful and pleasant. Buffet breakfast was average in terms of variety and choices. Only vegetarian food was served at the buffet breakfast and it does get tiring after a few days for a meat lover like me. There were some small eateries near the hotel but these didn't look hygienic. There were no decent restaurants nearby. The Chennai Egmore train station is a 10 minutes walk, so the hotel is quite convenient if you wish to travel in Chennai by train. There are lots of autorickshaws waiting around the hotel, so picking one up is very easy. You can book a car to bring you around from Mr Muthu from the hotel reception. We had a very pleasant time with his driver Lawrence, who would go all out to ensure our needs were well taken care of. There's a movie theatre just across the street for those of you who may want to watch a Tamil movie. There are no nearby shopping areas though and you would need to get a train or auto if you wish to shop.
