not a nice especially for bussiness trip, no WIFI
no bill will be provided if your are going through online vendors. They will have have some commission included in the bill, in-order to conceal these details they will not. not dared to take order any food by the reviews already have. If i do have anyother hotelnear by visa office, i would have prefer other one.

Breakfast was mentioned as free but what we got in terms of breakfast terrible. They delivered some horrible breakfast to the room. Wifi was supposed to be complimentary but I got it only after asking in night. That too took almost 40 minutes to arrange login details. If something is there in package they should offer while checking itself.

Central area and convenient.
Room rent a bit high. Your comission is also more. They donot have proper Restaurant serving local (south indian lunch and dinner) and there are no restaurants nearby.

Don't attempt even if free of cost
This is one of the shoddiest hotels. there are no basic facilities... no hot water, no blankets, no towels, nothing... dirty dirty n very stinky beds... infact the entire room had hair all over.. the walls, the bathrooms, everywhere,,, no working AC , no customer help, they ignore u n its literally insulting in the end... Stay anywhere but here... its not even worth a 500 rs. hotel.

OK FOR A TRANSIT REMAND
It's OK if you are here in the city for one or two nights en route to your destination. However, if you are here for a longer period, you may not like the fact that the property is scantily staffed, with a security attendant being in place for only 8 -9 hours during the day. The Hotel being located in a busy locality, surrounding may not be to your liking with traffic congestion throughout the day right in front of the Hotel. Overall Rating is satisfactory - recommended for short duration stays.

It took two days for us to find they had an excellent Chinese Restaurant on the Mezzanine floor. well worth the visit just for this Restaurant. Failure to give alarm calls and attend to minor needs because they had a poor grasp of English.

Average hotel for the price
I had stayed previously in chariot. I was very nice then. say 2 years back. My recent visit wasn't pleasing. There are understaffed. Parking the vehicle taking it out is not easy. Still they use cable tv network for the tv which had grainy pictures. A temporarily arranged breakfast buffet hall which was o.k. Room service was not very pleasing.

Not a good place to be
Not at all a good place to be, we all went there to stay for couple of days and finally ended shifting the hotel bye evening, first of all the hotel was under reservation and we were not informed earlier, more over it has become clumsy inside, beds are not that great and even food, Not at all a good place to stay

Hotel is not well known by taxi drivers. Difficult to find. Hotel personnel are very, very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is not good and in a very small room.

The internet wifi was dead slow.Also there was no proper office equipment near the front desk. It was hard to find hot spots in the room for logging into the web. Had to heavily rely on internet cafes outside the hotel.

A fulfilling trip
The Hotel is pretty neat and clean. The room that I had booked was already occupied but the hotel staff did not create any fuss and immediately upgraded my room. The hotel staffs are very welcoming and helpful. The food is great for someone from northern India who is interested in tasting the local cuisine.

Small rooms, but well maintained...
Good hotel in a calm and comfort location. We took Deluxe double room. The room was not big as expected inline with the room rent. Not upto 3 star level. Wardrobe is situated in the passage near the entry door, and is very uncomfortable. The restaurent and bar are in seperate floors and provide nice service. Morning breakfast buffet is very good. Well maintained. No problem for 1-2 days stay.

This hotel is not 3-star at all as publicized, but comes at a close 1 star. The rooms were just ok, nothing great. They had marble flooring, unclean bathroom and bad service. We ordered food and they took a really long time to deliver it and tasted awful. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, rather, at the price, there are much other better options.

Chariot in Chennai for a short stay
Convenient for a business traveller in terms of it's location and has a restaurant that opens till late in the night. The buffet breakfast is disappointing in terms of it's choices and the fact that the staff does nothing to replenish food towards the last quarter of the timing. The good thing is the reminder call for breakfast. Internet connectivity is through a LAN cable that doesn't work and nobody knows it's configuration anyway! However, you've got a super cramped cybercafe next door for quick access. All in all, a good bet in terms of location and budget stay without too much demand on luxury. I'd stay here again.

Could have got a better reception
I turned up late, in the early hours of the morning and the place was in darkness, plus no one seemed to be expecting me, which was off-putting, but resolved fairly quickly. Other than that, fine and very reasonable to booking out to fit in with my early morning flight too. Area doesn't look that salubrious, but in fact, it was fine.

Worth the Money--Just
Hotel Chariot was worth what it cost and served out purpose. From a western perspective, it was OK and better than our second Chennai hotel, Mt. Seera, which had a roach problem. The Chariot location is not great, but then a much higher priced (US$130/nt) Quality Inn is located only ~100 meters down the road.on the opposite side. We had ready access to auto rickshaws& taxis, so transportation was not an issue. The train station is a 10 min.ride. The Chariot offers a decent breakfast buffet. We arrived, however, on a Hindu holiday for which most kitchen staff was off. The staff working that provided us with an a la cart breakfast instead, which worked out nicely. We would recommend.

Just bathe with the bucket, the shower won't work
The room & bathroom did not look or feel clean -- stains everywhere, mildew; the AC reeked of stagnant water & the room stank of mold. The shower was an insipid drizzle that somehow only delivered cold water, even if it was lukewarm from the faucet. Also, online listings for this hotel indicate they have wi-fi; they DO NOT. Internet access is wired only, and since my ethernet adaptor was not installed correctly I had no internet. Thankfully, my stay was brief.

Chariot Hotel - Close to US embassy and T nagar
Hotel was easy to locate and conveniently near US consulate. Hotel looked a little shady to enter, partly due to neon Bar sign. Not a pleasant place for family. Staff was very friendly and helpful which avoided me feeling jittery to stay with my family. Definitely not worth the price i paid.

Beware - Strange Checkout Policy
This was one of the strangest hotels I have ever stayed in. Their check out policy is completely different than every other hotel I have ever stayed at. I had to check into the hotel late at night because that is when my flight arrived, and then when checking out, I was informed that they bill on a 24 hour system. That is, because I checked in at 5am, they wanted me to vacate my room by 5am on check out day. Because I did not check out at the same time as I checked in, they charged me for a whole extra day! I called hotels.com and they tried to straighten it out for me but it I had to leave to reach the airport for a flight. Also, the food is sub-par and the location is not very convenient.If you have the chance, definitely stay somewhere else.
