The property is very well located to visit the local and impressive chateau, as well as those in surrounding towns. Success over the years has clearly enabled the family owners to expand the property and so the hotel has prominent position in the centre of the village. Facilities are great (the pool and gardens are lovely), and the tasting menu in the restaurant was excellent (perhaps the best of our 3 week trip). Breakfast is disappointingly not included in the room rate and at 24EUR is expensive. We were also frustrated that the small buffet was being cleared while we were still eating and choosing items, which left us feeling uncomfortable. Overall, it is a lovely hotel, and a good base for the local area. Some of the staff did not seem very happy, which (we feel) could be felt in the service we received, and the cost of our stay was at the top end of what we paid throughout our trip which we didn't feel matched our experience.

This hotel is absolutely wonderful - the room was absolutely amazing and the grounds were beautiful. The room service was great, the staff were friendly and they even gave us a bottle of wine when we checked out - along with some chocolate and biscuits when we checked in!

The property and staff were lovely. Dinner in the restaurant - delightful. Beautiful grounds. Friendly and helpful people all around. As we checked out, one of the reception staff gifted us a bottle of her family’s Chinon wine. A memorable stay. Merci beaucoup!!

This is a historic property with excellent modern amenities. The staff were over the top helpful, especially Jacqueline. There is ample parking and a farm yard with sheep, chickens, and goats- cute! It is a three minute walk to the entrance of the Château of Chenonceau. There was a nice comfortable sitting area with books. Excellent place to stay to see this adorable town and the château. Highly recommend!

My husband and I had a lovey stay at Auberge du Bon Laboreur. While we stayed in March and the gardens were non existent, I can only imagine how beautiful the property will be once in bloom. The staff was very helpful and friendly - I saw other reviews say they were stiff and rude. This was not our experience - formal perhaps. The food was delicious - especially the "gastronimique" restaurant. The staff was also very helpful in accommodating my husband who eats vegan. Our room was large with a separate lounge area and private patio. The decor is a bit dated and not 5 star but we were very comfortable. The heated pool (in March!), hot tub and cold plunge were a huge plus and we used every day. We did not try the sauna or hammam but they looked very nice. Walk to Chateaux Chenonceau and easy drive to others - this chateux was by far our favorite. Hope to come back to Auberge du Bon Laboureur!

Next to Chateaux Chenonceaux but the property is not remotely close to 5 star. Maybe 3 star. First night in a room in adjacent building that felt like a remodeled barn, with thrift-store type of furniture. Moved into nicer room 2nd night which had spiders and other creepy crawlers. Woke up to a spider in my bed. The reviews must be for their restaurant which we didn't try.

Our room was very lovely. We had doves outside our room talking to us. Gated parking was nice. By far this was one of the most quiet places we stayed at. Walking distance to the castle. The pool and hot tub was a nice surprise.

This is a very charming hotel , nice building , in the center of the city and walking distance front the Castle of Chenonceau. Easy to park. However this did not feel a 4 star , we had a cold welcoming at the reception but a warm person with a foreign accent who showed us our room . We had great food in the restaurant , congrats to the chef , but a terrible service . We had to ask to order a bottle of wine We had to ask to open and serve us We had to ask a description of our dessert options. We did not enjoy our diner experience. In the room , there is no coffee machine , no coffee at all ! That’s a first for us in a hotel room . But we could order one before heading to the breakfast table . Beddings: I did not find it cost .. we had very weak pillows and a hard mattress. No sound proof in the room , we could hear people walking in the room above us , or early in the morning workers and deliveries to the hotel . Pool: supposed to be warm and it was way too cold to go in . There was no jacuzzi available like on the photo. We won’t stay again here as we did not enjoy our stay..

We have stayed here in the past and it's still as we remembered it. Great hotel and great location. Food is good but very expensive. We enjoyed the pool after a long journey. Would stay again.

I felt like I was staying at a friend's home rather than in a hotel. The hotel had nice touches, a container of small candies on the bedroom desk and a coffee and an espresso machine. The room was very spacious.

What a tremendous stay! We lucked out discovering the Auberge for a visit to Chenonceau. The staff was so helpful, enthusiastic and friendly. The suite room was extremely comfortable, large, clean with a very comfortable bed and sofa bed for our family of four, and a cute extra area in the “tower” of the lovely building. Many thoughtful details and individual attention. The highlight was the exquisite meal at the restaurant. Lovely setting, warm staff, excellent sommelier, great service and the most outstanding meal worth every penny. Our children wanted to stay longer to have another meal. This Inn is highly recommended.
